So much for McConnell being open to convicting.

Good job buying his BS head fake media.

Let’s not call it a TRIAL. It’s an administrative and procedural assessments of a politicians performance by his peers. It’s NOT a trial. There is no independent jury and senators are going to stick with Trump. Let’s fast forward to the end.

I wouldn’t rule out a conviction just yet. We cannot predict what will unfold in the weeks to come.

12 of those Republicans who voted that the trial is unconstitutional would have to change their minds to convict Trump and bar him from holding office ever again.

Against a headwind of whipping & lobbying & a base of crybaby fascist wannabes. I swear, I’ve never seen a wimpier group of authoritarians than the current republican party.

I mean, we didn’t’ expect a conviction, so just hang each of their votes around their necks like a toilet seat and bash them with it in public until the end of time. you’ll never convince the hooting swine that is trump’s base, but there are enough marginal republican voters that think Jan 6 was a very very bad thing. make the sedition supporters take responsibility for their votes, in public, every damn day.

I thought the future office bar only required 51votes?

Yeah, I was wondering this myself.

Never trust a Republican. Power and greed is their M.O.

Nope he did not. The article states it was Toomey, Sasse, Romney, Collins and Murkowski.

Those that voted against aren’t motivated by truth or “Big” this or that. They are motivated by local donors, the state millionaires that help drive the statewide, not the national economy.

And they are getting bad advice from their local economic masters.

My bad someone said he was in earlier.

Donald, was impeached while he was in office. The Senate is just the trial to remove him from office and prevent him from running again. This is a dodge that they don’t expect their supporters to understand.

Let’s go there again: this is the party that impeached Bill Clinton for lying about a blow job.

If having death threats from their own voters and destroying international relations with our allies was the GOP goal, then this is certainly the right choice for them.
They sure did learn their lesson after losing to Obama.
Big tent!

The public is being told over & over the Senate will not convict. This trial is nothing more than red meat to fundraise. Trump fund raised on election fraud. Dems are fund rising off impeachment trial.

And the media is saying the Senate will not convict. Signaling the truth. Just as media said There is no Election Fraud .

But citizens en masse are triggered to donate when they hear those words
