Ohio Republicans Are Pushing Through Gerrymandered Districts

POTUS Biden just needs to re-do the whole fucking thing on the basis that Trump illegally fucked it up, and then demand that the states re-do the apportionment for 2024. He also needs to tell the SCOTUS to butt-out because he claims the inherent authority to fix the Census and his authority on such is non-judicable. Let them try to enforce any order otherwise. He can even run them out of their big limestone palace if they get too uppity. It’s clobbering’ time.

If Biden can handle Putin (and it approach appears to be working right now) these pathetic losers are no problem. He just needs to tell them all to sit down and shut-up or suffer a bayonet in the gut.

Governor Evers should take a page from these guys.

How? His maps were upheld by the state Supreme Court. SCOTUS shadow docketed the GQP rush request and said “nope.” What would you suggest he do?

Under professional rules, judges should avoid even the look of impropriety or bias as it is bad for the justice system as a whole. That’s important, because without rule of law and confidence in the law, violence and revenge are the mechanisms left to settle disputes. So what does Kevin McCarthy have to say about the Ginni Thomas mess?

Asked about this, GOP House leader Kevin McCarthy declined to agree that Mr Thomas should recuse himself from such cases, instead saying the justice could and should decide for himself what to do.

Sorry ahead of time for posting this.

As I understand it the point of all this is to establish exactly one (1) political party as the permanent and only party in government. Are we effen blind? Russia has one party. Russia has a ruling class of thieves who have parasitized the economy of the nation into bottom of the birdcage status. The autocrats who wish to steal the bounty of our nation should take a look at Russia and see what they are creating.

They don’t believe in democracy either.

It sucks that so many americans would actually prefer this to actual democracy, even a democracy like ours where the deck is stacked in their favor.

It may be a one party system controlled by corrupt degenerate authoritarian assholes - but, boy, does it ever own the libs. Amirite?

smh (I do a lot of that these days).

Why bother getting a statement from Thomas? He’ll just perjure himself like he did in his confirmation hearings, complain about high-tech lynchings, and nothing will happen to him, just like before, when Biden had other witnesses who corroborated Anita Hill, not to mention Thomas’s porn video rental records, and was too scared or high minded to use them to prove perjury. Best we can hope for is to pressure Roberts to extend the Federal judge ethics rules to themselves. Only upside to congressional questioning would be if the stress pushed his health problems over the edge, but I don’t see the stress when the man has no ethics.

A sanctioned Russian oligarch is complaining that he doesn’t have money for a cleaner or driver. He doesn’t drive. Maybe his daughter can drive him, but how are people supposed to survive.

Wealth is an odd imprisonment.

Ginni is a “true believer.” Clarence is more of a “doubting Thomas” in that he will see it when he believes it.

The Thomases are corrupt and arrogant enough to make their presence on the High Court appear legitimate only to confirmed fascist bigots.

That will not change.

Posted this yesterday, on the Strangejustice-has-left-the-hospital-grounds thread:

21A477 Austin v. U. S. Navy Seals 1-26 (03/25/2022) (supremecourt.gov)

Interesting that Kavanaugh and Coney Barrett vote as they do; no surprise about Strangejustice (opinionless), Alito and Gorsuch.

Note, this is a short ruling granting a motion to stay, but it is of general interest to those of us curious about the current Administration’s fortunes on Covid restrictions,
