Ohio GOPer Refuses To Wear A Mask Because It Covers ‘The Image Of God’

Ohio state Rep. Nino Vitale (R) got biblical on Monday while railing against protective face masks that help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Vitale posted a screed on Facebook in which he argued that the U.S. was “founded on Judeo-Christian Principles” that proclaim that “we are all created in the image and likeness of God.”

“That image is seen the most by our face,” he wrote. “I will not wear a mask.”

Maybe Vitale would be willing to compromise?

What if we made him a mask that looked something like this?

So Nino wants to outlaw all masks? No welder’s face shields, no Halloween masks, no SWAT team masks, no masks in dentist’s offices, how about surgeons?
As for we all are created in the image and likeness of God then why are there 2 sexes? Why do some people have blue (preferred) colored eyes and some brown? Why all those hair color shade?
Why does he think any of his nonsense mean squat?

If this guy is the image of God, God looks like a potato.

Sometimes I don’t know why I  your posts. Sometimes there is just nothing to love about them.

Nope, refusal to wear a mask just shows god what a collosal, self-centered asshole you are…

Can women wear masks as sinful daughters of Eve? I mean, we were created from Adam’s rib and all…

Partly because he has been taught that it does; partly because our Constitution allows him to think so; partly because our schools are prevented from placing things in context – but mostly because he is a nitwit several times over.

Oh, yes. Those, too.

Mandatory.

Vitale hasn’t yet gotten to that part.

Everyone knows God has a beard. Vitale shaved his off! Desecrated the image of god. Heretic, blasphemer - to the rack with him.

God certainly likes comedy, otherwise she’d intervene and stop this sort of hilarity.

So requiring him to wear pants is okay but requiring him to wear a mask is an imposition?

I once heard a township planning official, himself a fancy uptown lawyer in his day job, chucklingly compliment a developer’s lawyer for a “resourceful and creative” interpretation of the planning code that was by a coincidence especially favorable for the developer. Strikes me this is similar. He’s just a wingnut and viscerally opposed to masks because it’s a liberal thing to want yourself and your neighbors to stay alive, I suppose. So he comes up with this resourceful and creative principle to oppose them on, one I haven’t heard it put forward before.

P.S. Fuck you for that “globalist” crack, Nino. Maybe you’ll get your nose broken someday with pleasant observations like that. No worries, you couldn’t be uglier. God isn’t doing any bragging about that mug of yours, believe me.
