Oh Man, Professional Clown Gohmert Is Running For Texas AG

Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX), one of ex-President Donald Trump’s most faithful and wackiest foot soldiers in Congress, made it official on Monday night: He’s running for Texas attorney general.

Because the current AG is neither crazy nor corrupt enough.

Hey! Whatever it takes to get this freak out of congress.

Off topic, but I expect Gohmert to follow South Carolina’s efforts (and add Florida, Georgia and other dying southern states to this list):

As a proud resident of Austin, Tejas I say this is great news ! I can only hope that more folks from the Clowns & Idiots Show join in the race, it helps to focus the spotlight on them all the more. And there is no one, no one, more idiotic that Louis Gohmert in our state. And we have no shortage of right wing idiots…

Split decision. Paxton easily beats Gohmert in the “corrupt” line, but loses bigly on “crazy”.

How’s a Loon, I mean Lone Star State voter to make up his, uh, mind?

Does he have to step down from his current job to run? Inquiring minds and all that.

I do (always!) love how when you are voted in either state/federal you begin to ‘believe dammit!’ that you’ve been hit with the WISDOM STICK and you now know ALL…health, education, basic ethics and morals (or lack thereof)…

Here’s how Texas Republicans think: Congressman Gohmert has been re-elected several times to control those Commies in Washington. Before that, he was a JUDGE in TEXAS! Shit fire! He went to A & M and was in the Corps of Cadets! He must be a good ol’ boy. If he’s a church-goin’ Christian, he’s got my vote. Damn straight.

He is likely to win. This is after all is said and done an election in Texas, Land where the crazy runs deep and elections are stacked against the people.

Gohmert has not been giving the opportunity to prove his worth in the corruption front. But he wont disappoint Texas’ voters if elected.

Paxton vs. Gohmert?

Schrodinger’s cat, Texas style…

I’m gonna go ahead and assume the Texas AG run elections in the state. Kinda like when GA governor Brian Kemp was running for office, while running the election as state AG.

My question is related: even if he doesn’t have to step down to run, would he have to choose (i.e., can’t run two races at the same time). Common sense says, yes, pick only one and run for it, but one thing I have learned over the past 5 years is that common sense is not always a good guideline in such things…
