Oh Man, Professional Clown Gohmert Is Running For Texas AG

The relentless 24/7/365 propaganda people are subjected to is the culprit for a great amount of this behavior of the Right.

Even those on the Right know it.

Or, as Chas. Pierce has dubbed him, “Padishah Emperor of the Stupid People.” Part of me hopes he wins; it will get him out of the House of Representatives.

I once knew a guy who was an A&M graduate, but not in the Corps of Cadets. Those like him always referred to the cadets as the “Corps Turds.”

I have “The Unibomber Manifesto” leather bound on my coffee table. Kazinsky’s political and social philosophy is spot on. His methodology, however, is somewhat suspect.

Trump beat Biden in Texas by a landslide.

5 points is a landslide now?

Someone, txlawyer I think, said he does. But that his district will just cough up another rightwing hairball. Only gohmie’s dumb enough to give up his seat just when his party might have the House in 2023.

He is likely to win. This is after all is said and done an election in Texas, Land where the crazy runs deep and elections are stacked against the people.

The devolution of the Law in Texas continues apace.

Sadly, it’s not just Texas it’s every red state. The destruction of democracy is a CoP (Cult of Personality) priority everywhere.

Yes you can, all you need’s a scalpel and earplugs.

Exactly. A Republican winning Tejas by < 10% is nothing to hang your hat on.

It’s Alien v Predator — the remake but even dumber.

"Gohmert accused Paxton, who’s facing allegations of corruption by his former staffers and is under indictment for securities fraud,"

Left unmentioned is Paxton has been under indictment since about the same time as the Beatles broke up.

  1. I am amazed that Gohmert is a law school graduate, and even more that he managed to pass the TX bar exam. That says something - and it’s not positive - about Baylor Law School and the TX bar.
  2. I understand that he was once a judge of some sort in TX, but this guy should never be allowed near a courtroom or a pleading.
  3. OTOH, if he’s elected TX AG, the comedy value of what he does will be off the charts.
  4. But it will all create a waste of judicial resources in TX and federal courts.
  5. Nevertheless, this will open a window of opportunity for sanctions and disbarment, which would be judicial resources well spent and will have its own entertainment value.

GOHMERT: “I’ve had people say, ‘Hey, you know, there’s nothing wrong with gays in the military. Look at the Greeks. Well, you know, they did have people come along who they loved that was the same sex and would give them massages before they went into battle. But you know what, it’s a different kind of fighting, it’s a different kind of war and if you’re sitting around getting massages all day ready to go into a big, planned battle, then you’re not going to last very long. It’s guerrilla fighting. You are going to be ultimately vulnerable to terrorism and if that’s what you start doing in the military like the Greeks did … as people have said, ‘Louie, you have got to understand, you don’t even know your history.’ Oh yes I do. I know exactly. It’s not a good idea”
