I don’t think Mitt will backtrack because (a) he still has Presidential ambitions and (b) the Etch-a-Mitt accusation stung him too much in 2012. One would hope he would double down.
This.
BECAUSE IT FURTHER SOWS PANIC AMONGST THE CULPABLE. Who are already panicking.
This is how you roll a mob family. And WHO was it who rolled two mob families and a corrupt energy corporation…?
You can use the verb “manning” in your comment because it doesn’t have a gender specific-meaning.
Best of luck - for a successful turnout at your booth and for the lack of need for a personal SOS.
Brilliant to wear the whistle, btw!!
If you’re in a red district, better make it a dog whistle. I hear they respond better to those.
The Trump Presidency and Republican Senate control has really gotten to me and perhaps broken my spirit. This whole thing is starting to have shades of Kavanaugh for me. I can see some Republican voiced concern and insincere statements of wanting to know what happened, but even with a pile on exposing the President’s criminal behavior, in the end the Senate will not vote to convict. They will say credible arguments on both sides, or maybe there is just not enough to impeach, and in the end he will remain President.
When you mentioned Chicken Pot Pie Boy, I wondered what insanity must be going on at FoxNews right now, from the most craven, corrupt member of upper management to the dumbest of the onscreen “talent” (which would probably be Doocy, but that’s very arguable. But I don’t think I’ll get any arguments about putting the word “talent” in quotes). They have gone all in on that fucknut Trump, and they can’t just wish him away. They made their bones during the Clinton impeachment and after 9/11 defending Bush, and now when Fat Ass goes down they wont be able to cut the rope to this 6000-pound anchor because his base and their viewership won’t let them. It’s going to be like someone stuck in the middle of the desert for weeks with only bottles of Liquid Plumber to drink. They’re going to have to suck it down eventually, even if it kills them. And they deserve it.
Brasilian music focusing on beaches and beach crowds often have whistles…I am thinking about a groovy Astrud Gilberto album of mine.
Think I’ll put it on
I’ll make sure I say “Aaaaaaah!” as you walk by.
“Staffing”, please!
(global comment, not directed, tcn!)
Some students of Nazi Germany argue that one of the keys to Hitler’s total control was the requirement that the military take an oath of personal loyalty to Himself. There are films of German officers so doing. The tradition of a German officer keeping his word was so strong that, after taking that oath, the military felt honor bound to obey Hitler in all things. Not that we’re in the Germany of 1938 (yet), but your two-oath comment brought back memories of the dangers that personal oaths and personal loyalties offer…
Being Republican means that you never have to say that you are sorry.
He might remain president, but he will be incredibly and irreparably damaged - as will the GOP who support him. Especially those up for reelection next year.
Hereunto, you should restrict yourself to the heretofore.
“Tall and fat and orange and ugly
The crook from Mar-a-Lago goes waddling
And when he sneers he lies
And he never sees”
Trump and his allies have repeatedly tried to cast doubt on the first whistleblower’s credibility, claiming that he or she only had “second hand information.”
I’m actually a material witness.
I saw Trump admit the crime – live on national television – with my own eyes.
Then I read his written confession, in the Ukraine memo the White House released.
Finally, I heard him commit a second crime – by calling on China.to help him break US law.
Does that mean I need to testify?
(Asking for 300 million friends.)
I pledge allegiance to the Trump
And to the Republican Party on whose corpse he stands
One Stable Genius ruler and his loyal subjects, indivisible
With limited justice for all
So what would the incredibly informed commentators at this blog think is the purpose of the news story? On its surface, it is a non-story (The person may come out; or he may not. I might go to Temple today, or I may not.) Is the story an attempt to encourage the whistleblower? Is it a test to see how she may be retaliated against? Is it Michael Schmidt trying to tell the White House something? Maybe Schmidt is just showing off? Any ideas?
“But Donald, husband, vissle blowers coming out of voodverk, now. And I am zinking to myself, vot eef Barron iz vearing vire? But zat iz crazytalk. So paranoid I am getting.
