18 months later, almost to the day, that seven different chief judges of seven district courts received copies of the alternafraud vote submissions, mailed them by the perps themselves, via registered mail, no less.

About damned time. I hope that DOJ doesn’t assign to Jeffery Clark.

Nice framing too:

"Eastman and others planned for state legislatures to certify those certificates so that Vice President Mike Pence could approve the non-Biden votes as “legitimate.”

Instead of admitting that they were trying to portray the citizens’ actual votes as illegitimate.

The rot runs very, very deep. The rot begins with the head of the snake, i.e. Donald J. Trump, and runs to his lawyers, supporters, apologists, and allies. The rot needs to be exposed and removed.

I admit I was skeptical about the potential impact of these hearings at first but, as they have proceeded, I’ve become increasingly convinced that a lot of people will go to jail as a result of them. The absolute proof that many of the people involved, including Trump, are guilty as hell is so overwhelming even our current SCOTUS would likely be unable to acquit them.

It’s brown trouser time Chez Rudy.

Maybe. That remains to be seen. Granted, a DoJ investigation takes time, especially one freighted with all the political baggage of this period in US history where so very many people of wealth and power are Nazi-friendly, at the very least. But, unless Mango Unchained and his immediate facilitators go to prison, I’ll have to consider it a victory for the gop.

We’re about to find out if Pence is really the hero that a strange % of Americans believe him to be.

Not only Rudy, but John Eastman and Kenneth Chesebro.

Judge Luttig, a conservative judicial icon, basically told the DOJ to indict Trump and that the Republican Party needs to support that decision.

That second part is wishful thinking bordering on self-delusion. No gop can ever hold Mango Unchained responsible for the shit he actually did. It would violate cult rules.

Nearly 18 months post sedition not sure Garland is up on the concept of go time…going back to the Muellar report and all the chicanery we’ve seen since including ample opportunity to take down somebody inextricably linked to these plots…the high level conspirators are punching well above their weight.

No one is going to jail. All this lot will get a presidential pardon in 2025 by TMFWWNBN or DeSatan, they can stall long enough during trial to never see the inside of a jail cell before then.

The President of the United States tried to steal the presidency and it’s feeling like at best his crimes are going to result in some toady lawyers getting disbarred.

There should be no conservative legal icons. There should be no liberal legal icons. Interpret the constitution and apply it to 2022.

This is true, but he put it out there, which is a step in the right direction. You and I know they won’t do a thing, but (I know) public pressure might force some of them to do something.
