Edit: The good guys won one seat in our school district. The other, well, it’s looking like Pam got reelected, but it’s close enough that this may change in the coming days (slow and steady, the State of Washington Way).

I know that this & Va & NJ are the glamor races, but down here in Georgia Dems took 2 out of 2 Public Service Commission seats that were one the ballot this year (it’s a 5 seat board)–and the margin of victory as of this moment is 62-38. That’s a huge margin of victory for a Dem in a Ga. statewide race.

Here in rural PA, I was inundated with flyers and mailers telling me to vote “no” on retaining them.

I do think NYC mayor is a shit job, and everyone ends up hating the mayor. I hope Mamdani can overcome that tendency. He seems smart and savvy and so far, genuine about wanting to do good stuff.
I do wonder if T***p coming down on him will end up backfiring for TFG? Like, it may cause NYers to rally around the mayor a bit more? NYC does not like to be pushed around. And most of them do not like TFG.

I hope NYC raises taxes on multi-billionaires income to pre-Reagan rates. Raise taxes on corporations & raise minimum wage to $15/hour. These tax policies are long overdue. Share the wealth with the masses that made the individual/corporation wealthy.
