NRSC Chair Scott Won’t Say Whether GOP Candidate Accused Of Strangling Wife Should Be A Senator

When has Rick Shifty Eyes Scott ever answered a straight question?

I guess Sen. Scott is laying the groundwork for O.J. to run for office in Florida as a republican.

If you aren’t condemning, you’re condoning. A man who would strike his wife and children. Allegedly.

This really isn’t hard. But, then again, it’s a party that supported an alleged pedophile.

While it was never based in reality, this is a party that once took pride in their “moral clarity”, and told us so at every nauseating opportunity.

The NRSC leader ducked again when pressed on whether he believed Parnell, who has been endorsed by ex-President Donald Trump, was the right person for the job, saying he’s “not supporting or opposing people in primaries.”

Is there video of Jesus forgiving him? If not, it’s just hearsay, and inadmissible.

I’ve been saying for years, long before Trump showed up with his medicine show, that you might as well not even bother taking note of their inconsistencies in this or any other realm. They care about power, period full stop. They need Murkowski and they obviously think Parnell’s their best shot. They could both be cannibals for all the rest care values-wise. It just doesn’t matter.

So did the Jeebus people until they threw it all away to marry the first duck-tailed, leather-jacket-wearing “bad boy” to come along.

They’re asking the question in the wrong way. The media should rephrase the question like this: “Senator Scott, why do you think it is OK for a candidate to strangle his wife?”

Rather than allow him to obfuscate, let him be the one to explain why this is not what he believes, even though the fact that that candidate is allowed to run for office and receives continuing support from the party is a kind of endorsement of such a person. But they supported tRump so …

To paraphrase: “If don’t get caught, it means you didn’t do anything wrong.”

This is SOP for the republican party.

No one is asking what the wife did to deserve to be strangled. I mean, why would someone strangle their wife for no reason?

Flip side, jumping on the bandwagon seems premature. Divorces and custody proceedings are nasty places full of all sorts of allegations.

As yet, she’s not been cross-examined on her testimony (per the article linked from this article), so a bit premature to haul out the tiki-torches and pitchforks.

Agree, but though it’s asking too much (it’s America/we don’t ask follow up questions here, at least anymore), I’d still like to know whether Trump or the election chairs are at odds with any of the candidates.

Following same formula as with January 6:

  1. It didn’t really happen that way.
  2. OK, it happened, but it wasn’t that bad.
  3. It happened, but only because of being egged-on by a person trying to get him in trouble.

It’s a different month, but they’re the same shitty Republicans.
