Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), who chairs the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), signaled on Monday that a candidate being accused of strangling his wife isn’t a dealbreaker for the GOP’s top Senate fundraising organization.
Rick “Skull Man” Scott has a very thick skull. He even excuses those who defrauded Medicare out of millions of dollars as being worthy of becoming a U.S. Senator.
Note to Repubs: Twisting arms to get your way is viewed as a political skill. Twisting necks of people you supposedly love is a bad thing.
“We’ll see who comes out of the primary,” the senator replied. “Facts will come out. We’ll find out exactly what people think."
I’m hoping my PA friends and neighbors don’t think that a wife-strangling madman should be their Senator.
That’s because if the GOP started setting ethical standards for their candidates, then there wouldn’t be any GOP Senators to begin with.

If Republicans were to disqualify candidates for being deplorable humans, they would need to start with one Donald Trump.
Therefore, it is likely more a deal breaker for a Repug nominee not to be deplorable.

Parnell has also denied his wife’s allegations, saying in a statement that he “never raised a hand in anger” toward her and their children.
He beat them for their own good, in the spirit of love and concern.
