So…one week ago, Trump personally requested that Robert Costello be a witness in front of the Bragg grand jury. The purpose being, the hope that if you throw enough shit at Michael Cohen, that some of it might stick.
From what I understand, the grand jury members vote on whether or not they want to hear from a specific witness. True?
What is to stop Trump from sending one witness per week to the grand jury, just to delay the indictments?
I guess the grand jurists can vote against hearing them?
Is that the only way to stop this particular Trump-Wrench from stopping the wheels of justice?
The substance of the grievances matter less than the end goal. And no amount of pearl-clutching or hand-writing will change how he intends to get there.
I don’t see most school shooters as survivors, as in they are taken into custody. They’re either killed on the site, or kill themselves. So Scott doesn’t know this, or more specifically doesn’t care to know this.
Hey, Rick: Do you happen to have any thoughts about what penalties we should consider for CEO’s of companies which commit massive fraud and scam millions of dollars from Medicare, Medicare, and other federal programs under their watch? I’ll wait.
Karine Jean-Pierre, on today’s school shooting in TN: “How many more children have to be murdered before Republicans in Congress will step up and act to pass the assault weapons ban, to close loopholes in our in our background check system or to require the safe storage of guns?”
Well, there are approximately 75 million Americans under the age of 18, so that’s the upper limit of how many kids can be killed. Of course, even if all kids were shot, the GOP would still see little reason to pass legislation as there is no child left to protect. I’m going to say that the time when Republicans get on board with rational gun contol measures is “never”, or more precisely, “never ever.”
Scott knows this (or should, as a f*cking US Senator!)
He’s just using the “death penalty for school shooters” red herring as a way to show he’s…ahem…“serious” about the issue, beyond the standard GOP playbook of thoughts-and-prayers-and-take-NRA-and-gun-manufacturer-money-and-remove-as-many-firearm-restrictions-as-possible.
The entire point of tfg is raising money for himself. The so-called victims of their own illegal actions and the rule of laws might get some of the cash, which seems to belong to tfg now. They will be lucky if tfg raises money for them. Pro tip: He won’t.
Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), John Cornyn (R-TX) and Mike Rounds (R-SD) … and their ilk
Can go straight to Hell!
They are whining about “style” … and don’t give a rat’s ass about the substance - in fact, they would still swallow the substance if Trump would just say it real pretty!
Just went through this WaPo piece on the lethal effects of the high velocity projectiles from AR-15 type weapons. I say: To hell with everyone’s fee-fees. It’s time to publish photos…
The sheer numbers and frequency haven’t moved the needle enough.
In 1979 when the silicon chip when off in a woman’s head on that almost prophetic day I was a senior in high school just north of New York City. The worst incident that occurred was someone tossing an M-80 into the boy’s restroom. If folks did have firearms they were stored inside their pickup trucks cab adjacent to a Lynyrd Skynyrd tape while in the parking lot. Then again this was just before the NRA decent into crazy town.
