I don’t get it. Seriously. The Republicans plan to enact a bill that is a few words shy of, “whatever we say goes and elections only count when we win” and Democrats are wringing their pathetic little hands over it. Why? How is it that the right writes and enacts a Soviet-style dictatorship with obviously and blatantly illegal and unconstitutional laws and the left plays by those fucking rules. The Republicans obviously aren’t playing by any rules. So, if they can enact illegal bullshit, the Democratic state government should be allowed to just ignore it. Instead of vetoing the damned thing and legitimizing it, the governor ought to just tear the fucking thing to pieces on the news and state categorically that this is Iron Curtain bullshit so they don’t have to abide by it. What are the consequences? The Republicans clearly fear no consequences for their bullshit, so why should the Democrats fear consequences for nullifying it.

The image of the White House turning red depicts an ominous advent. Events in Syria, its proximity to Turkey, Baltic nervousness, Poland shoring up its eastern border, Israel’s activities, etc., suggest preparations for war that spreads incrementally. And look who the U.S. has for leadership this time around. Any reason to believe the homeland will be spared?

Nominally o/t, but actually right on topic. Pete Hegseth’s mom wrote him an email back when he was divorcing his second wife:
“You are an abuser of women — that is the ugly truth and I have no respect for any man that belittles, lies, cheats, sleeps around, and uses women for his own power and ego,” Penelope wrote. “You are that man (and have been for years) and as your mother, it pains me and embarrasses me to say that, but it is the sad, sad truth… your abuse over the years to women (dishonesty, sleeping around, betrayal, debasing, belittling) needs to be called out.” It, um, goes on like that…for a while.
