Hope this piece puts this to rest. Yes, he’s a liar. But the other things we know about him suggest he would never go this route as a subterfuge. He tries to project an image of himself as strong and in control at all times. He would never pretend to be sick.
Yes, the traitortot is a liar. And yes, wariness is warranted.
This just isn’t his kind of a lie done in the way he would have done it if he was lying about this. (he would have staged the hell out of it)
