No, Trump Isn’t Faking COVID In A Master Scheme To Vanquish Biden | Talking Points Memo

I honestly don’t get why people keep giving Trump so much credit: he’s not some orange Einstein carrying out master-plan, genius maneuvers in full public view. He’s a barely functional or ambulatory geriatric sociopath bumbling from one self induced crisis to the next.

I thought BoJO cornered the chicken market?

"God will protect us!"

Gee, haven’t we heard that phrase countless times from the MAGAts as they were waddling their way into Trump’s super-spreader rallies?

I would say standard operating procedure when the President of the United States is imperiled or incapacitated.

It would be nice to have a President that isn’t objectively, provably, literally-literally the least credible person in recorded human history.

Absent KAC, I wonder which mommy the terrified 3-year-old will scream out for now

The ground has split open and the heavens rent asunder, apparently: I agree with Scaramucci.

Although I’m certain Trump is sick with COVID, I won’t rule out the possibility of him spending a year dead for tax purposes.

Well the last one was 12 hours ago. That’s longer than average.

I think the critical question is whether or not he knew he had COVID before the debate.

“I’m coming as an evangelical who is pro-life and prepared to say the Republicans don’t own ‘pro-life’ and they don’t own evangelical,” Huffman said.

Huffman said he knows several leaders of major evangelical institutions who would like to oppose Trump, but they will not *because their supporters would pull funding.

*“We feel like we are speaking for a lot of evangelical leaders who are as intimidated as senators who have to support the president for reelection,” Huffman said. “This man has demanded a kind of loyalty that is very much cult-like.”

Facepalm? Insert laughing monkey? I dunno…

Stupid You is asking a very good question, and here’s the answer:

Agreed. Aside from the fact that he can’t stand being away from the TV cameras for more than a day or two, the rallies are too important to be canceled and the fundraisers are even more important. Donors want a personal appearance and photo grip-'n-grin with the Donald, he can’t just substitute Pence or Jr. at those events

That’s why he went to the fundraiser in NJ even after learning Hicks was infected. I’ll bet he held off getting tested himself until after the fundraiser. He’s not going to be raising nearly as much money by lying low with a faked illness. Maybe a little with direct mail like those flyers, but the big money donors want a viable candidate. This is the real deal.

I accept that he very likely is Covid-19 +.
But Cadet Bone Spurs would never pretend to be sick?
Maybe not right now, but there is no credibility in him at all.
I submit for your consideration that he has been pretending to be well for quite some time.

Fat Ass may not be faking his COVID-19, but Melanoma is still faking her orgasms. Believe me!

It is pretty funny that Scaramucci’s comment was the sole evidence given in the article at the time I read it.

There’s plenty more convincing stuff out there.

I don’t think its master scheme. But I do think its a scheme. Maybe not to vanquish Biden, but give Trump an excuse for losing.

The thing about these 11-dimensional chess theories is they play into the “All Bow Before the Great and Powerful Oz!” aura the Trumpists are at pains to build around him, much like the “aura of inevitability” schtick that Karl Rove used to such successful effect. Pulling off a hoax like this would be enormously risky and fraught with unpredictable variables and outcomes. I say let them build their own mythology; we shouldn’t be adding to it.
