Rep. Elaine Luria (D-VA) on Wednesday previewed the next Jan. 6 Select Committee public hearing, which she said she is set to co-lead with fellow member Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL).
Eyewitness and earwitness testimony of where Trump was, what he was doing, what he WASNâT doing, what he was saying, what he was watching FOR 187 MINUTES, and how gleeful he was while he watched police officers being beaten and murdered. Itâs been said that he TIVOâd the riots, and rewatched the most violent parts with happy excitement.
I hope they have multiple witnesses all saying the same things. Pound the truth in HARD.
We now know FOR CERTAIN that he KNEW his supporters were armed. And he urged them to go to the capitol and âFIGHT LIKE HELL,â or âthey wonât have a country any more.â
âŚLuria said the public can expect her and Kinzinger to give a detailed timeline of the 187 minutes between then-President Trump leaving the stage at the âStop the Stealâ rally on the Ellipse and Trump delivering remarks telling the mob of his supporters who stormed the Capitol to go home.
Donnie gotta sad 'cause supporters couldnât catch Mikey or any of the demonrat leadership.
Oh, and they didnât overturn Bidenâs election.
I was a little slow, so I couldnât be froth.
Throw me a line, show me a sign

He stupidly figures that since being President makes him functionally immune from prosecution, running for President is the next best thing. It wonât be.
Garland is painfully aware of the fact that, if he makes a mistake, any mistake in his attempt to convict Trump, Trump might walk and he (Merrick Garland) will be one of the greatest pariahs in all political history. If Trump walks due to a technicality, the left will regard him as an incompetent failure and the right will paint him as a political hack who abused his power by going after an innocent man.
Whatâs more, the case against Trump will be quite possibly the most heavily scrutinized case in US political history. Every right-wing law professor in the US will go over each and every detail of the case in an attempt to find a mistake, any mistake the DOJ might have made in order to overturn a conviction or get the case thrown out of court. Theyâll do this pro bono if, for no other reason, then to embarrass and wound the Biden administration.
Thatâs a lot of pressure and most people wouldnât want to be put in a position where theyâre not allowed to make any mistakes in such a complex matter. Considering all of that, Iâm not surprised that the DOJ is taking a lot of extra time in preparing their case against Trump or that they donât really want to talk much about their plans.
What you say is all well and good⌠BUT, they have to do something, or the floor for 2024 has been set so high that the Next J6 will make the first look like kindergarten to a PHD
Committee member Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-CA) similarly told NBC News that additional hearings are possible depending âon where the evidence takes us,â and also pointed toward testimony by Cassidy Hutchinson, former White House aide to Mark Meadows, as an example.
Like many established streaming TV series have done this past year-- The J6C Hearings may take a midseason break for 6-8 weeks before providing another set of hearings to âclose the seasonâ.
Love to see the finale just after Labor Day perhaps?
I get the feeling they have already decided that the precedent would be too great, and for the good of the nation, etc. Hoping he goes one-fry-over-the-line in the interim.
It wouldnât surprise me that the discussion is how to soften the blow of their being no prosecution at all. There is a âdeep stateâ in this country. Itâs what bade Comey speak on Clinton as he did before the election.
Not sure thereâs any way to be a minority in power, or a logjam out of power, without it.
The specificity of breaking it down incrementally in minutes-- does sound as if they have a production vehicle in mind. May be where the talents of the TV producer (and crew) may shine.
