Right-wing media outlet Newsmax is shooting down the idea of hiring the embattled Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who is currently caught up in a federal sex trafficking investigation.
As I said on another thread: this means (a) he would have quit Congress if he’d scored a cushy gig to handle the 100s of 1000s he’s facing in legal bills; and (b) he’s only still in Congress because he’s too stupid and degenerate even for Newsmax.
Looks like Gaetz will be available to star in the movie “Close Encounters with the Third Grade” now.
Well, Burger King is hiring, so it’s not as though he’s completely out of prospects.
Sounds like a personal problem to me!

I have to wonder if Newsmax is reflecting a general move away from Gaetz by the right. It’s one thing to say that they have no plans to hire him; it’s quite another to announce that they “never told him they were interested”. It’s that extra knife twist, really. A “not only no, but why would you even think that we would consider it?” detail that shows how toxic he has become.
Like Newsmax (hard as it may be to believe,) Burger King might be concerned about damage to the brand.
I doubt they’d be willing to pick him up.
