When an aide on the House Intelligence Committee was contacted by a whistleblower concerned about the President’s actions, a committee aide followed procedure, according to a report Wednesday from The New York Times. The aide pointed the whistleblower to the Intelligence Community inspector general, where they could file a formal complaint, and told them to get a lawyer.
So, the new GOP MO is that anyone who recognizes that the President, or any member of his Administration can’t be trusted to uphold and execute the law, can’t be trusted.

Whistle-Blower knew and had evidence DNI and AG were corrupt, went straight to congress with evidence.

Fuzzy wording like “a vague version”. WaPo has the more accurate statement from Schiff that the Whistleblower came to his staff to ask about the proper procedure to report a potential crime.
Seems like someone is using the NYT folks to undermine this.
How is it that the complaint was remarkably consistent with the memo of the call? What is Schiff clairvoyant or some how he’d gained access to the call memo prior to it being released? Trump called the read out word for word accurate today. Anybody?

This will only play to Trump’s base of working class Whites and GOP establishment billionaires. Or to put another way Republicans have been claiming to be victims for decades. I mean does anyone else remember when the “Values” voter coalition held its conference to discuss “Discrimination against Christians in America” at the Ritz Carlton?
That is this is just more playing to Trump’s base that polls find believe that discrimination against White Christians in America is the real racism today and much worse than any racism or other discrimination against any group in American history including during the time of slavery.
Actually, what they’re weaponizing is lies, racism, nativism and stupidity, and the culture of grievance indulged in by the country’s socially, culturally and economically dislocated white racist imbeciles, who either can’t or won’t keep up with change and modernity and want things to stay exactly the way they were when they were young. They’re weaponizing regression, anger and idiocy.
House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), for example, tweeted that the report was evidence that Schiff had been “caught orchestrating with the whistleblower.”

I repeat from another thread, the White House lawyers and aides and Trump himself knew about the whistle-blower’s concerns before he went to the Intelligence Committee aide.
Trump and everyone around him began to hide the evidence.
So, if the Trump Mob is going to play this game, every reporter needs to lead their questioning and stories with this, as well as pointing out that the WB and the Intel Committee, and ICIG all followed proper procedures. It was the CIA counsel, White House, and Trump appointees who all committed improper acts.
I can’t tell any more whether it’s thumbs on the scale or simply clickbaiting.
