On the second day of his civil trial in New York City, former President Trump and his campaign let loose a series of false and inflammatory attacks on Arthur Engoron, the judge presiding over the case, and his court clerk. The barrage went beyond even what we have previously seen from Trump, who has had a habit of making incendiary statements about prosecutors and others while being involved in multiple court cases.
If only for a couple of hours, it would be a good thing for tfg to have to go through the indignity of the admissions process, giving up his clothes for whatever prisoners wear, being searched for contraband, deloused, etc. The world would be a better place if he got a taste of that.
Most likely correct, but what about a scenario where the judge orders the bailiff to arrest him and take him to a holding cell in the courthouse for a little time-out to think things through, followed by hauling him back into the court room and the words “I hope I’ve made myself clear.”
txlawyer - I couldn’t agree more. Prohibit him from using any social media apps, etc., and really tamp down. Fine him $100,000 per occurrence thereafter.
Harder to dodge a judgment creditor than just some contractor he’s stiffed. Trump ponied up in excess of $5 million in cash to bond out E. Jean Carroll’s judgment during the appeal. He’s got the resources to pay off any sanctions for the sake of avoiding discovery into his assets.
