New York Judge Issues A Gag Order After Trump Launches Wild And False Attacks On His Court Clerk

I don’t care about changing his behavior (which, I agree, can’t be done). I just want him, for once in his foul life, to pay for it).

Gold bars and a Mercedes? I will only note that the order pertains to the judge’s staff; what are the odds that the DFP continues to attack Judge Engoron himself?

This trial appears to be moving quickly, but I wonder if there is still room to speed up the schedule if Trump can’t obey the gag order? It would be justifiable to limit the damage his comments are causing, and he really doesn’t want this happening more quickly than it already is.

"…someone “ought to go after this attorney general.”

“Won’t someone rid me of this meddlesome priest.”

Yeah, we all know how that tends to work out, and it’s pretty obvious that’s exactly what Fat Boy wants.

Sanctions have to be narrowly-tailored, just enough to secure compliance with the court’s orders. Sending him to prison for a first violation would be so wildly disproportionate that it would be immediately reversed by the appellate courts.

One problem is that Trump has never seen a microphone or camera he wasn’t eager to give a performance for. And what unelected person has more cameras and microphones following their every move?

'Someone “ought to go after this attorney general.”

That’s crossing the line, turning back around to piss on it, and looking around and shouting “You gonna do anything about it?”

On the other hand, it’s also Donnie Two-Scoops squealing “I can’t wriggle out of this one! Help!”

But wouldn’t pretty much anyone else who did the things Trump has done end up in jail?

It seems that Trump enjoys a privileged existence, unfettered by limits the rest of us have.

Exactly what level of tailoring they could make that would ‘’‘secure’‘’ Trump’s ‘’‘compliance’‘’?

No, not at all. It’s exceedingly rare for anyone to go to jail as the result of anything occurring in a civil case.

How many violations will it take for him to be sent to jail? We all know he will continue to push this to make $$ off the stupid rubes.

Unfortunately, there’s still value in Trump threatening them after this trial’s over (especially if something happens to one of them before one of his other trials). What would stop him - the chance he’d get indicted over it?

He’s not going to violate it. He’s tested the fence and found that it is electrified.

Seems to me that being found in Contempt of Court is justification for putting him in lockup, at least until he sincerely apologizes to all concerned.

The judge should jail Trump.

Then Biden should pass an executive order to have the FBI raid ANY jerkoff who makes subsequent threats. They want their precious Civil War II? Fine. Let all the poisons in the mud hatch out.

A gag order does not go far enough.

Make me happy.

Stick a tennis ball in his mouth, cuff his hands behind his back and hang him upside down in a Leavenworth basement.

Was looking for this earlier today. Additional detail on the exchange between Judge Engeron and Alina Habba yesterday. Most other reports I’ve seen kinda glossed over the spectacle. Remains a mystery what this woman has to recommend her other than ‘eye candy’.

The penalty should be payment for 24 hour, round the clock security guards for 6 months for each doxx attack or mention of a staff member.
