New Revelations About Stone And Wikileaks Cast Mueller As ‘Hamlet’ | Talking Points Memo

Hamlet? Bullshit, he’s no brooding, gothed-out, self absorbed, college student in his early 30’s living off the fat of his family.

If anything, his equivalent would be Polonious: the Dithering Lord Chamberlain who’s way past his prime as an effective statesman, who misjudged the whole situation, makes things worse, is symbolic of the miasma (“something’s rotten”) that plagues Denmark, and just like Mueller’s reputation, dies an inglorious death after being compared to a rat.

I know that you can sue in NY court for complicity in crimes against humanity if you are a NY resident and were affected or were the next of kin of a victim. The NYS court system tagged quite a few American corporations with large damage awards over Nazi atrocities. But remember that there were plenty of people with unambiguous standing. If ICE threw any NY residents in their concentration camps, the individuals in ICE who did that could be sued. I don’t know if it applies to criminal acts, and even if it did, it would probably not survive constitutional muster.

Of course, he tried to beat NYS state taxes. This is one tough (as a NJ resident who occasionally falls into their jurisdiction, I sometimes use other terms) crew of bastards, and they will chase you. Clinton pardoned Marc Rich because this meant NYS could start collecting back taxes. And I suspect that there are a lot of state tax examiners/agents who would love to be the one who brought the Trumps down (if they can also get his Russian financiers Cuomo won’t have to complain about state finances any more).

No deal! Let the trial commence!

What Comey did in late October 2016, was deplorable he injected himself into a presidential election at a very late juncture. We as a society needed for him to be brought to account for his disgraceful actions. Rosenstein served a valuable function by writing the letter. It was by no means “bogus”.

It may have served a corrupt cause, but it was something that needed to be done. I have a real problem with FBI Directors meddling in presidential elections at the last minute.

Here’s the thing, Mueller was looked at as the last chance to retrieve the 2016 election from the illegitimacy it represents today. He utterly failed. He will NOT be looked at kindly by history, and he WILL be deposed by Biden’s AG and will have to answer every freaking question posed on behalf of the NEW President this time around.

He also should have known better. If he didn’t want the job of sticking a knife into the Trump campaign, he should have just told Rosenstein, “NO”. It was a no-win job to put out the complete dumpster fired started by Vladimir Putin but that’s why you hire a tough Marine.

Mueller didn’t even TRY to pursue the counter-intelligence half of the investigation. His concerns about national security seem pretty insincere in the rearview mirror. The Constitution says “defend against all enemies foreign or domestic”…Mueller did neither.

He should have turned the whole thing over to Weismann and let him do the dirty work, while Mueller held Rosenstein’s hand. He didn’t and it will forever taint his legacy. Maybe it was senile dementia or just fatigue, but Mueller’s performance was not a “Profile in Courage” and I doubt anyone will ask him to give any commencement addresses again. He did not look like a tough Marine to me. He looked like a guy going through the motions on the most important job of his entire career. Sad.

that is 100% true. And Rosenstein could have recommended that Comey be fired right then and there. He didn’t. Rosenstein also could have recommended to Sessions that Comey be fired the minute Sessions was confirmed – that didn’t happen either.

Rosenstein had NO problem with what Comey did until Trump asked him for a reason to fire Comey.

I bet he had worked with Barr previously and ‘nobody could have foreseen’ that Barr would do what he did. He was considered a conservative stalwart, nothing like this level of sheer corruption.

All those people who spoke up for Barr as a ‘good choice’ on MSNBC (!) and gave him the benefit of the doubt (‘nobody’ who goes to work for Trump turns out to be even a ‘semi-decent’ person, we all should’ve known) have since said they are really shocked and surprised how Barr ‘changed’ and in the end we just got to ask ourselves, WHAT DECENT PERSON WOULD WORK FOR TRUMP?

The longtime political trickster said on Sunday night that he intends to ask for a delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while President Trump has publicly suggested that he may grant Stone a pardon.

Translation: Stone says I ain’t doin’ time. Use Covid as excuse, pardon, whatever or I sing. Right, Paulie?

Cotter described Mueller as “Hamlet,” noting that “he’s so conflicted and he respects the presidency so much.”

What a load of horse shit. If Mueller respected the Presidency so much he would have followed through with subpoenas and compelling testimony.

I would hope for Trump to resign, but am convinced that he is far too arrogant and dishonest for that. It wouldn’t surprise me if he isn’t counting on his party apparatus and on the Russians to steal the election for him (again!).

Very likely what he will try to do. My one hope is that these folks are so deeply and comprehensively dirty that they can be prosecuted on things for which they’ve not yet been indicted.

To be or not to be a traitor, that is the question
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to enlarge our bank account by selling our country to foreign enemies,
Or to encourage others to take arms against a sea of troubles of our making, and so, by opposing, end themselves.
To live, to sleep, Lots more; and by a sleep I mean a good nap.
But not in prison.

I think Mueller and Comey suffer from a disease in which ‘they’ are so ‘moral’ and they ‘believe’ that everybody else is going to follow their template.

He felt he had to ‘respect’ the Presidency if not the President and did not realize that the Presidency does not exist in a vacuum, it is ALWAYS the President who ‘holds’ the Presidency.

HOPE I am making sense.
