Dere’s a lot of us literati here displayin’ our cullchah.
Some of us are stable. Some of us are geniuses.
“Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow creeps in this petty pace from day to day. And all our yesterdays have lighted fools the way to dusty death. Out! Out brieft candle! Life’s but a walking shadow, a poor player who struts and frets his hour upon the stage and is heard no more. 'Tis a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury signifying nothing”
… … …
I may have got some parts wrong on this quote as this was from memory that’s at least from 55 years ago. The last sentence certainly could apply to trump

I know it’s much easier to quarterback on Monday morning than on Sunday afternoon. That said, the more I learn about Mueller’s handling of the investigation, the more disgusted I become. He blew it.
I can’t tell you what was going on in his head: was he not as sharp as he used to be? was he conflicted? was he naive? was he just plain tired? I don’t know. The only thing I do know is that he failed miserably, and the country is suffering for it - physically, economically, morally, spiritually. In all the ways it is possible to suffer, to be weaker than we were four years ago - as individuals and as a nation - we are suffering and we are weaker. Mueller’s mishandling of this investigation contributed significantly to our current shockingly deteriorating condition.
I neither hate the man nor respect him. I just don’t give a shit about him one way or the other.
Hey, you did not get permission to jump into Macbeth. Stick to the script.
See? Told ya I might a fucked it up. But the last sentence still applies like I said. And that I could call this up from very dusty memory I think is pretty good
Hey Headline, I think the word you’re looking for is “coward”.
For my money, the insults thrown by and at Thersites in Troilus and Cressida top them all.
Remember when the conventional wisdom was that Marine Bob Mueller was going to do this deep and wide, no holds barred investigation?
We got played for saps.
But only those among the highest echelons can claim to be both.
It’s one that I’ve turned to many times over the past 4 years.
I don’t know if I agree with this. I believe he had lots of account forensic people on his team. My guess is we haven’t seen everything they were doing.
He also did directly nail Russia for their Facebook ads, other election interference. He just didn’t tie it directly to the Trump campaign,
You mean there are white supremacist groups that DON’T have satanic leanings? I am gobsmacked.
Yes, there are new revelations like this, which are troubling. But the Mueller report itself is rather transparent about how passive and toothless the investigation was. It says openly, several times, “So and so would not would not cooperate and would answer our questions, or would not hand over documents, or answered our questions in a way that was probably untruthful, so, uh, we couldn’t reach any conclusions in that part of the inquiry and gave up.” No one was pushed very hard.
Let me guess, he was cremated immediately after death and the ashes scattered to the winds.
Mueller himself is the Rosencrantz/Guildenstern figure. Decent fellow, tragically unaware of the murderous currents he was swimming in.
I believe Mueller is not benighted.
I wonder if Mueller is yet lamenting the way in which he handled his investigation and its aftermath. He trusted the process and the institutions far too much and, at this point, he can probably see how this strategy failed. He’d never admit to having any regrets if he does, but I’m guessing he’s not very happy with the way things turned out, nor do I think he considers Bill Barr a friend anymore.
History’s judgement will be harsh but he’ll probably get a few forgiveness points because of the onset of dementia as witnessed during his post-report testimony. Not from me however.
as conveyed in no uncertain terms by Rosenstein: Indict the designated henchmen and keep your hands off Trump and his crime family.
I’m afraid I cannot agree with your assessment, Rosenstein’s behavior was puzzling. Sessions recused himself, suddenly he is put into a situation in which he has to make high visibility decisions. His first instinct was self preservation, he appointed Mueller and gave him free rein to conduct his investigation.
If he was as corrupt as you suggest, then why appoint Mueller in the first place?
Somewhere along the line Rosenstein went native and proudly stood behind Bill Barr while Barr lied through his teeth about Mueller’s report.
As soon as I found out that Sainted Bobby M was best buds with Yogi Barr, I knew it was over. If a Dem-appointed special counsel was found to be close pals with a Dem administration AG, the GOP would be screaming for blood.
And I still don’t believe that stupid bullshit that a sitting Prez cannot be indicted. I do not believe the Constitution says anything about a President being indicted for or convicted of a crime; it just says he/she can only be removed by a impeachment conviction. Senators and Reps can be indicted and convicted while in office, and I believe so can judges. So why can’t the President, the head of a CO-EQUAL branch of government, be indicted?
I mean, I’m not a lawyer, and I don’t claim to be any kind of expert on these matters, but I’m not fucking Rudy Giuliani either!
