Well put.

I sometimes wish I had that knowledge lol

Then I realize I’d probably end up in prison pretty quick.

This is especially so because Hunter paid back the owed taxes with interest (that usually meets IRS demands in a case like this) and he quit drugs and alcohol and has turned his life around (another huge consideration in cases like his.) That he has been pursued and harrassed for most of a decade on national TV is the final element of the question of whether he has been punished enough. He has.

I already avoid spending money in red states. I don’t vacation there. If I’m driving, I will stop at the border in a blue state and buy gas before entering a red state. I will drive further to get across a red state into a blue state before finding a hotel for the night.

I know buying gas from a station in a blue state doesn’t mean that the money goes to a non-Republican employee or business. But the gas taxes or hotel tax I pay does go to the blue state, not a red one.

It’s small, but one of the many ways I always am resisting.

You left off MTG showing a picture of Hunter’s junk in Congress.
I mean who does that? Hunter was not charged or convicted of any sexual act.

Yeah, all daytime news pertaining to politics is right slanted now. All of it. There is never the benefit of the doubt for anyone with a “D” next to their name. They are all officially treated as hyperbolic, hysterical socialists with ties to Karl Marx.

The sick fuck would have put a target on Hunter’s back.

Waiting until Jan. 19 would probably have resulted in Hunter having to spend the holidays in prison because sentencing in both cases was scheduled to happen before Christmas. Hunter and the whole Biden family have been subjected to enough abuse. I’m glad Hunter can be home for Christmas with his family without having prison hanging over his head.

Funny how the joker press doesn’t mention the plea deal the prosecutors and Hunter had worked out. Then Republicans applied pressure and politicized it. What do you know-the plea deal was withdrawn by the prosecutors and the witch hunt began. Joe did the right thing and the Republicans can go fuq themselves with a cactus.

Mismanagement of the COVID pandemic with the millions killed directly and indirectly will probably look like a walk in the park if these nutjobs get the proposed positions of power.

Re Hunter’s pardon and a lot of other stuff:
From the sermon the Sunday after the election when the “what are we going to do? How do we protect all or any of the vulnerable people?” was at fever pitch, the person preaching said what we need to do is the next right thing. An endless series of choices will present themselves. Choose the right one, whether it’s personal or systemic.
And she’s right. Refusing to do anything because we can’t do everything is the worst choice of all.

A lot of people express the opinion the justice system is unduly harsh on low level drug abusers. Hunter falls into a category of convicted defendants that certainly numbers in the thousands as to those currently incarcerated. Does the President intend to confer the same pardon mercy upon any of them?

What @Zemod said. And as for the jury, they were not tasked with determining whether the prosecution was politically motivated. And in any case, we cannot know how individual jurors felt about the verdict they reached together. I wouldn’t be surprised if some (many?) of them felt sorry for Hunter and wished they were not obligated, by their oaths as jurors, the facts presented at trial, and the judge’s instructions, to find him guilty.

My wife and I are moving back to FL soon (reason = grandkids) and I’m not looking forward to living under the current regime in Tallahassee.

There are some compensations though. Our general medical care where we’re headed in FL will actually be better quality than we’re getting out here in the Pacific Northwest, because it’s hard to get decent specialist care out here in the boonies where we live. And yeah, we’ll get boosted on every vaccine we can get here in WA before we move. Maybe it will hold us for a while. And I’ll stock up on masks.

The few times I watch cable news it’s like butter scraped over too much bread. The PBS News Hour does a good job of getting to the heart of the news and doesn’t chase the latest outrage through an entire primetime lineup. I don’t count PBS as a cable news network, so I wasn’t referring to it in my original statement.

Biden pardons Hunter to stop malicious prosecutions OMG the sky is falling!?!?

TCF pardons all the j6 dependents: look what you made me do.

ZFE: LOOK WHAT YOU MADE TRUMP DO1!1(++!

Joe should pardon Jack Smith too. But not Merrick Garland, because fuck Garland

Also the pardon is a FU to the worthless hack Garland, the only conviction that MF got from a special prosecutor was Hunter.
