Suprised? Nah . . .

I, for one, believe that Biden was entirely justified in pardoning his son. The Republicans from TSF on down spent 8 years harrassing him just to get at his father. Hunter was never in government and was not a public figure, so the piling on was way out of bounds even for politicians with as little integrity as today’s Republican Party.

ETA I see that the MSM is busy spouting the Right’s talking points, wringing their hands at how Biden went back on his word and what a bad precedent this sets. Not a word about the years of misery inflicted on the Biden family just to score political points.

If anything, Biden should offer more pardons, not fewer.

Sounds like he is a perfect match for Trump and his Republican party.
Drunk or sober.
You did right for your son President Biden.

If President Biden had NOT pardoned his son, it would have been very disappointing. I hope they all have beautiful lives and can recover from the trauma that maga has put the family thru.

I fear that if our democracy is to endure for another 250 years, it will have to endure a near death experience during the next four.

The outrage of a party that nominated a convicted Felon to be President of the United States was totally predictable.

And sad.

Marcy Wheeler has a few things to say about Biden’s pardon of Hunter.

The fat felon ran a pardon bazaar for his four years in the White House, and he’ll do it again.

Yeah, too bad he didn’t have more criminals in his administration/campaign.

And, of course, not a word about how that other guy, who, believe it or not, is NOT currently the President, lies constantly and incessantly.

Nope. Decency and ethics are just for Democrats.

Spare me the righteous indignation about Biden pardoning his son. Hunter Biden is a private citizen and was paraded out by Republicans in Congress for years, meanwhile they won’t release the Matt Gaetz report because he’s a “private citizen.”

Trump pardoned Charles Kushner, his son-in-law’s dad, for multiple felonies and now wants him to work in the coming administration as ambassador to France (and he can’t speak French so obviously he’s VERY QUALIFIED).

Trump is a 34-time convicted felon who is an adjudicated rapist and Republicans and their voters decided he had JUST THE KIND OF MORALS they want in a leader. Hunter deserves the pardon and Trump is only mad because he can’t go after Hunter himself now. Die mad about it, jackass.

About Hegseth’s coming demise: Rudy needs a job so he can pay the arrearages at his storage unit to get his stuff out so he can hand it over to the Georgia poll workers. When’s Trump going to give him one? He’s as qualified for Defense as a lot of Trump’s other proposed nominations are for their intended positions.
