If Hunter Biden had an R next to his name he’d be either a front runner in a red state congressional district or senate seat or under consideration for a position in the Trump administration with few questions asked about his background. We would see what has been on the Sunday morning news shows the past couple of weeks. Republican senators “of course I’d vote to confirm him” “I don’t see any reason why not” “background checks?

I’ve been wondering about the volume of “clowns and buffoons” that he has been nominating. They may be hoping that Russ Vought gets lost in a sea of red herrings that they have been using to flood the zone with BS.
I also have to wonder, however, if many of the nominations are a reflection of the fact that he has burned through most of the competent people who he might have tapped in the first administration. The current nominees may be the only ones who will answer the phone. If this is true, then the Senate may feel compelled to pass them through because they know that otherwise he’ll recess appoint even worse choices.
I’m also pondering the idea that they either really believe that “government doesn’t work” so they think that these destructive choices are wise, or if they believe that since government has resisted their efforts at destruction so far, that it is essentially indestructable. I’m kind of leaning toward the latter. This way they’ll defend themselves with the “no one could have anticipated” defense that worked for the incoming guy so many times.

He’s knocked over other lego sets. One is a Harley Fat Boy. Another was a large Tie Fighter and a large R2-D2. Usually sets that require some aid in balance get knocked over.

I am seriously considering not watching cable TV news for the next 4 years.

I love this so much I’m going to troll X. Which is what I now use it for. Payback is a bitch.

I’m waiting for Pete Hegseth to announce that he’s withdrawing so he can spend more time with Matt Gaetz

Well, definitely! After all, the Deep State is pursuing him for failing to let the federal gummint steal his hard earned money, and for buying a gun, which is his Gawd-given right, just like it sez in the Bible!!

Hunter could be the perfect GQP man! … which suggests that he run as such, get elected, and caucus with the Democrats. (heh, heh, heh)

I’m just surprised that DonOLD and the Republicans in Congress couldn’t figure out a way to charge Beau Biden with…well…um…anything.

Everyone, from SCOTUS on down, has operated on the assumption that they can create any construct they wish to give TFG more power because Democrats and specifically Biden are too ethical to take advantage of the opportunity. Imagine if Biden actually took advantage of the ruling about the core powers of the presidency. We would immediately go beyond pearl clutching to another assault on the Capitol that would spread to the White House. The expectation is that Biden will continue to be the decent person he is, while TFG can do literally anything he pleases.

Today is a good day! First, Biden pardons his son Hunter. About time! Great to hear that Hunter will no longer stand in as a punching bag. And now this lovely New Yorker article laying out what a souse Hegseth is, and reconfirming what a sexist pig he is. Have a great day!

So this “language” thing is now officially dead?

Was reading some AP stories this morning that were complete right wing garbage.

Usually no mention of

  • The Trump appointed prosecutor being left unattended for years and years.
  • Hunter paid his back taxes and fines.
  • Hunter is now clean for 5+ years.
  • Hunter purchased the gun to kill himself.
  • Any history or explination of the plea deal
  • No mention of TFGs 26 active felonies
  • His already pledged plan to pardon the violent offenders in J6, predating any pardon of Hunter
  • TFGs pardon of Jarred, and Jarred’s dad.
  • The large number of war criminals pardoned by TFG

Sad but not suprised.

Hegseth joined Fox as a contributor in 2014 and a host in 2017. I guess Trump isn’t the only organization that didn’t/doesn’t vet their employees.

Focus on the positive.

Disengage to disempower. End the positive reinforcement of their Skinner Box/Milgram Experiment. Deny them the pellets. Cancel subscriptions to all the major “news” outlets, resist giving them clicks as much as possible, boycott services, block accounts on a hair trigger and WITHOUT ANY INTERACTION, etc. Everything they’ve built to subjugate us requires our willing participation as the product they are manufacturing. Throw your bodies on the gears instead. If denying yourself NYT articles or a Twitter account is too much, then you’re already THEIR product.

Although TSF has turned the dial up to 11, the goal is to install people whose mission is to destroy the efficacy of whatever agency they’re put in charge of. The fact that they’re sycophants and buffoons serves to rub everyone’s nose in it.

Bush the Lesser did exactly that but chose professionals who knew how to operate in government and corporate America - in fact, many of them had built careers trying to undermine the very agencies they were hired to run.

Marcy is always a good read. Just in case we think the press is up to our present challenge, I want suggest to read the entirety, but here is the nickel version.

“I’ve never, as far as I’m aware, spoken with Hunter Biden. I have, however, spoken to a good number of the people who were and who would be politically prosecuted in Trump’s second term (not including myself, of course). And the thing I’ve learned from them is because the press is complicit in their politicized prosecution, it guarantees they’ll be isolated, regardless of guilt or innocence. Because the press has unquenchable thirst for lazy dick pic sniffing, they don’t do the work of reading the court filings. Because the press thirsts for a false appearance of both sides neutrality, they’re always on the hunt for something to fit into their both sides scandal box.”
