New Misconduct Allegations Against Pete Hegseth Emerge In The New Yorker

It may just be me, but Elon is looking a bit gay there.

Trump pardoned people who are disgusting pigs and never should not been pardoned. Next will be the January 6th participants. How many from January 6 will be pardoned despite injuring police officers? Biden did the right thing for his son. These are wretched times to be living in.

Marcy Wheeler reminds us not to overlook that under Hegseth’s management, he drove a nonprofit into the ground.

I cancelled cable and threw out TV last March. I get curious about what I am missing sometimes but in general it has been easier than I expected and I have no doubt it was the right choice.

How many of those January 6 participants were identified by former partners who will now be at the mercy of their revenge plans? I expect that we will see a new level of crimes against the former domestic partners of these guys, who will be emboldened by getting away with the earlier crime.

I thought Trump’s administration would consist of billionaires, sexual predators.
Now we learn that unqualified relatives of his will be part of it too.

This won’t be the popular opinion I’m sure, but I have very mixed feelings about the Hunter pardon. Commuting the sentence would have made the point, but I guess the mitigating factor is that he would have been a pawn in the hands of the Trump DOJ for the next four years. A blanket pardon removes that threat. Understandable on that level.

Balanced against it, is the fact that Hunter actually did commit those crimes, and he was convicted by a jury. Selective prosecution? Sure, but he’s not the only one that ever got caught up in selective prosecution. Ask any Black person. How does someone sitting in prison after conviction for a rarely prosecuted crime feel about this? “Where’s my pardon? Oh yeah, I don’t have a powerful politician as my Father.”

I wonder how the jury feels about it. Selective and political or not, they found him guilty of the crimes. If it had been a pure political witch hunt with no underlying crimes it would be different. That’s how much of the Lefty media is covering it, as a purely political prosecution. But that’s not what the jury decided.
