You know, it’s striking how many officials and apparatchiks of GQP have never actually held a real job.
The spend a lot of time extolling the power of the free market and an equal amount of time slagging off civil servants, but they themselves have gone from college to congressional staffer to think tank and round again.
A stint a seven eleven might have taught them some useful lessons

And that’s the problem, he’s anointed with a title that’s had decades of highly-functioning professionals, so people think they should listen to him, instead of reflecting the marginal professional life in a marginal field related to the pandemic.

Sadly, Governor Larry Hogan of Maryland hired Redfield as his advisor on Covid.
Two major world centers in virus research in Maryland - the University of Maryland Medical Center and Johns Hopkins - and Republican Hogan gave Redfield the job.
