This police report along with witness statements & Hegseths just don’t add up. Witnesses describe him as heavily intoxicated & her as not. Yet, he clearly recalls she was consensual, asked for condom & them having intercourse. OTOH, she doesn’t recall having intercourse, does recall dog tags hovering in her face and him ejaculating on her belly, yet can’t recall how she made it to his room (subsequent to loud argument eliciting patron complaints) nor her own room?
I understand why no charges were made as it seems she had “regret” statement for hubby already made up.

Again, all this incompetence and craziness isn’t a bug, it’s a feature. tcf doesn’t care about morals or ethics (why should he? he’s never abided by them), and all he wants is to show dominance. After the dust settles, he’ll arrange a regular segment on Faux News and play golf on our dime, just like last time, while the congressional GOP abdicates its Article I preregotives.
(I’m sure SCOTUS will find some way to determine that the founders really didn’t want to put Article I first, and that their true intent was to install a king. After all, that was the original offer to George Washington!)
Meanwhile, Rand Paul will shut up as soon as a private prison company offers him some sweet, sweet “gratuity.”

I read the police report and I lean towards believing Jane Doe not Hegseth. The guy is sleazy as hell - at that point in time Oct 2017 he was just divorcing wife #2 who he had 3 kids with because he had just had another kid in Aug 2017 with his Fox coworker who would become wife #3. In his interview with the police he says she walked him back to his hotel room - he didn’t understand why she wouldn’t leave and then she was the one that made the first move - and he does admit he had thought about sleeping with a couple other women at the party but not Jane Doe - I guess when you are between wives and your girlfriend is home with a new baby it’s ok to ‘consensual cheat’ on her - yep sure trump sees no problems with this line of thinking.

Confused memories, moments of clarity amidst remembering nothing else much are very common among victims of rape and other kinds of violence, even when a person hasn’t been drinking or (possibly) been drugged.
Whatever happened in that hotel room, accounts by others of Hegseth’s sleazy behavior with many women that night, along with the rest of his bio (esp. impregnating his girlfriend while still married to his second wife), are disqualifying. Not to mention that Hegseth is utterly unqualified in every other respect.

I think that it’s more likely that no charges were made due to Hegseth paying his victim an undisclosed amount of money in lieu being him charged for sexual assault.

I think members of Congress must now bring their birth certificates to show to the gender inspector assigned to guard each restroom. Members must show their genitals upon demand to the inspector or be expelled from the building.
How else will they enforce this new rule?
