Itâs a hard call. We see only an edited version of trump. The reality could be much crazier. Or the crazy could be an act. Delusional does not mean crazy and hearing voices or having hallucinations. Having a delusion is just firmly believing something despite all available evidence saying it is not so. My MIL has paradelusional syndrome. She can shop, cook, watch TV, discuss politics and generally function quite well for an 85 year old. But if she gets a tummy ache, she will look you straight in the eye and tell you that âthe little bastard upstairsâ is shooting her with lasers again and she whole-heartedly believes it. She has been this way her whole life, so it is not dementia.
Narcissists are delusional by definition, since one of their most enduring symptoms is delusions of grandeur. Trump is definitely delusional. Doesnât mean heâs crazy, but he is mentally ill - no doubt.

That was my wifeâs refrain during the 2016 election, saying more than once that theyâd better count the WH silverware if Hillary got elected. She thought Hillary and Bill were crooked on some level, and not just because of the previous WH furnishings episode.
My wife voted for Hillary anyway because sheâs a lifelong liberal and Dem voter. The alternative wasnât remotely acceptable. But I never did understand all the animus she had towards Hillary.
I think there might have been some kind of emotional woman-to-woman negative vibes going on there, that Iâm not tuned into because Iâm a guy. I get the impression that many otherwise Dem-leaning women felt that way about HRC and cost her some votes.

Now that you mention it, see below. Although I think itâs more about protecting him from repercussions due to the Khashoggi episode than some new foreign adventure. Itâs not in MBSâs or the other sheikâs interests to shake up the region with another war, even a small one. And it wouldnât be small if Iran is involved.
