Given the stream of unconsciousness that comes out during one of his rallies (water pressure, toilet flushing, more water pressure, etc.), he’s clearly not working with a full deck, but to demonstrate that he’s delusional and can’t tell right from wrong, he’d have to be wandering off from a rally without any sort of recognition that he was there to speak at the adulating crowd or something like that, I would think. Whenever he’s on stage, it’s very clear he knows exactly where he is and why he’s there. So I don’t see any sort of insanity defense having legs.
A layman’s perspective anyway…

I’ve thought the same thing. At this point there are so many out there that are just realizing how evil and truly nasty he is, that the whole down ballot profile could change. I would love to watch the newly elected Rs try and put that genie back in a box.

This is how I would do it. I’d issue the instructions in an email to everyone so that they had a copy and could prepare, then I’d issue a retraction to keep the boss quiet.
I’d use the reply-all button in the retraction so that the entire set of instructions was sent a second time.

They’d have to prove absolutely that he doesn’t know the difference and there would have to be evidence of that.
Here’s an example of how difficult insanity as an affirmative defense really is - a number of years ago there was a Texas mother in Houston who killed her two kids. She was delusional, said Jesus wanted her to kill them. Her lawyer raised postpartum depression as a defense. She was clearly troubled but they could not prove she didn’t know the difference between right and wrong and her defense failed and she went to prison.

I know that trump doesn’t think more than a day ahead - BUT I do think he is starting to believe he won and the election was stolen from him as they continued to count the votes. When you watch his 10 minute rant video from yesterday - I believe he has to actually believe it, otherwise why would he want a video out there that details what a big looser he was ie no one that has won x state has lost, i got more votes ever, I got more votes of people of color. I mean yes those things are true BUT Biden got 7 million more votes and beat him in the electoral college. It’s just such a looser video and I think at least as he was screaming the words at the camera he was believing them.

OT: Your directions are all messed up. The Doral is southwest of Opa-Locka (it’s close to the Miami airport). Mar-a-Loco (I like the name!) is 60 miles or so to the north in Palm Beach county.
Sorry about being a geography nazi, but I used to live in Palm Beach county and stuff like this bugs me
