Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) finds himself in the firing line back in his home state after he voted to convict ex-President Donald Trump in the Senate impeachment trial on Saturday, with the North Carolina Republican Party now making plans to censure the senator on Monday night.
It would seem to say more about the clowns who are putting forward this idea, than about Burr. Even if he were not almost done as a Senator, does this mean they will somehow put a muzzle on him? What about free speech?? What a bunch of clowns.
“Reaching.” These folks have pulled out the jack hammers and they are trying to get through the mantle to the Earth’s the core. It’s almost as if they had no understanding of politics, at all. Because a few weeks from now, Burr’s vote is going to look like sanity.
Cassidy and Burr are both privy to Security briefings, by-the-way, which is the common thread in their votes to convict. (I think that’s the case, still. I could be wrong.)
I believe it was Joyce who said of Ireland, that she’s the old sow who eats her farrow. This is how it’s done in that great hog producing region of the USA.
MoscowMitch knows. That’s why his first words after the vote were to totally disavow his vote and make fake “constitutional” claims as having tied his hands.
These attempts to exact revenge when a Republican veers from party should forever convince everyone there is no such thing as bipartisanship in the Republican party.
Let’s just move on and let them destroy each other.
I admire him for his vote. I deeply dislike the vote of Tillich who traded his allegiance to the constitution for his love and far of Trump. Of course it matters that Burr isn’t running again.
