MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle confronted Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) during an interview on Friday morning about his tweet accusing the media of being delighted about the number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S.
ââŚsome in our media canât contain their glee and delight in reporting that the U.S. has more #CoronaVirus cases than #Chinaâ and that they were engaging in âgrotesqueâ and âbadâ journalism.
Projection and Deflection is thy name!
Itâs not only Rubio BUT to the Greed-Over-People Party and esp. their Commander Covidiot, Chaos and Confusion!

Another projection and / or deflection from one of the Greed-Over-People PartyâŚ
Post a clip on your Twitter feed of these journalists expressing âglee and delightâ at the number of U.S. coronavirus cases. Guess whatâŚyou canât, because it never happened, just like the thousands of Mooslims in New Jersey that the Orange Menace claims were cheering and celebrating the 9/11 attacks.
I fail to understand why the MSM doesnât just challenge these GOP idiots to provide a shred of evidence for their outrageous claims. (âMany people are sayingââŚfor you to f*ck yourself.)
Rubio is trying - and failing - to conflate probable satire and cartoons with actual hard journalistic reporting of facts. The notion that American journalists are in fact gleeful is nonsense. Liâl Marco is being slipperyâŚagain.
OK, so his gripe is about Chinese propaganda. Why does this matter? We donât need to look to the Chinese response to see that other countries have handled the pandemic so much better than we have. Look at Singapore or South Korea. There are other examples of countries who did a far better job at containment than we have. Plus, China was first, the virus originated there. They didnât have a model response to learn from and copy. We did, our government failed. What heâs really upset about is that someone criticized Trump.
ââŚsome in our media canât contain their glee and delight in reporting that the U.S. has more #CoronaVirus cases than #Chinaâ and that they were engaging in âgrotesqueâ and âbadâ journalism.â
Stephanie didnât ask him who it was that couldnât contain their glee. She should have pressed him on it until he came up with a name to back up his assertion. She didnât. Sheâs part of the problem.
Youâre right, itâs well past time that these nattering nabs of yapping pols need to be challenged. Challenged as in âSen. what have you been doing for the last 4 weeks to help in this national emergency?â âHow many times have to called your stateâs governor to ask him why heâs not helping the people of his state stay safe and well?â
The descent of Rubio from wunderkind to irrelevancy has a kind of sick fascination to it, like slowing down to rubberneck a bad accident even though you know you shouldnât.
