Motive For Mass Shooting At Boulder Grocery Store Unknown After 10 Deaths

I mentioned this a couple of months ago. It’s sad that for us in the US to be safe from mass shootings was to stay at home during a global pandemic.

Two thing irt to motive…

1.) Is that Boulder is one of the most liberal cities (and most highly educated) in the US. This could be one of those owning the libs kind of things. The last officer to die on duty in Boulder was in 1994.

2.) I’ve seen a few cases locally where folks are kicked out of grocery stores and make a scene because they didn’t feel like they needed to mask up. It wouldn’t surprise me one fucking bit if this asshole killed 10 people because he was asked to either put on a mask, or get out. Free dumb.

Lauren Boebert, Republican of Colorado, who made supporting gun owners’ rights a key part of her agenda, said she was praying for “the police, first responders, and those affected by this tragedy.”

Fuck you, bitch. And fuck your worthless prayers.

Police are going to have to start talking today, whether they have their bullshit cover story for this guy in hand or not. Man with AR-15 kills 10 people, including an officer, and they let him live (so you know he’s white) and go out of their way to protect his identity? I don’t like where this is going.

It’s what happens when we cede the microphone to the dishonest and idiots among us.

Highly effective, if the opposing message is never heard.

Yep, mass shootings are starting to pick up, we must be back to normal.

Ah, the old ‘he was having a bad day’ argument.

I wonder if the rest of us can get that excuse, especially POC that end up in these scenarios?

I thought of that after I posted my comment.

The city of Boulder, Colo., barred assault weapons in 2018, as a way to prevent mass shootings like the one that killed 17 at a high school in Parkland., Fla., earlier that year.

But 10 days after that ban was blocked in court, the city was rocked by its own tragedy: Ten people, including a Boulder police officer, were killed at a supermarket in the city’s south end on Monday after a gunman opened fire, law enforcement officials said.

Just 10 days between the time that the court struck down Boulder’s ban to 10 dead in a mass shooting in Boulder, CO. This part is just too much to take.

If theres a mass shooting like this, “middle aged white guy” is pretty much what comes to mind first for me. Thats coming from someone that is that demographic. More often than not, if POC are involved in these, they’re at the receiving end imho.

And still nothing will be done. I mean, if we could do nothing after the school shooting in Florida, then this is easy to ignore. [/s]

This. Just WTF is going on that they cannot/will not release his name? It’s not like they’re in a manhunt or something and afraid to tip him off…he’s in custody, and isn’t that info public knowledge?

The asshole was live streaming it. Don’t give him the recognition imo, he wants the glory.

Two things I didn’t miss during the pandemic, traffic and mass shootings, we are back to normal in both counts.

the NRA celebrated the ruling in a tweet calling it “an NRA victory in Colorado.”

I want to make a comment, but what is there to add anymore? It just continues to happen.

I hope someone tweets the names and pictures of the victims under the heading “an NRA victory in Colorado”.

Last night I made the mistake of going to the Twit. I saw a repost from the NRA. They posted the US Constitution with the Second Amendment centred in the frame. This after it was known that many had perished in that grocery store, including the police officer.

I have no words…
