NJ Resident here and life-long Democrat. Menendez got his shot when his 1st trial ended in a hung jury. Keeping GOLD BARS at home is old-fashioned, mobster fail. He needs to go NOW.
And here’s a pro-tip: Hudson County Democratic Committee is broke. So, while they might want to throw their weight around, they can’t. They are still paying legal bills from 2015. Some intrepid person might wanna look at that one.

Five or six years instead of ten or twelve would be acceptable to me. (The numbers are examples; I haven’t looked at the guidelines or anything. As long as he serves a few years, I’m down with a deal.)

Only in the [criminal] legal process itself. I presume he’s guilty as hell, and so do you. The Senators are free to make their own judgments.
Resign, reshmine. He should get a hearing before the Ethics Committee and then be expelled unanimously.
Clearly, the pressure within the DP in New Jersey is putting a lot of pressure on pols to get Menendez out of the way…
