People are saying that “extortionist” doesn’t poll well.

… … … …
Krysten Sinema’s true self
There’s a word for pols who want to separate themselves from their party’s positions, and it’s not “moderate.” Try “maverick.” After all, it’s not like John McCain patented the word and took it with him to his grave, never to rise again.
The only thing in the middle of the road is a yellow stripe.
And the thought that these two jerks can change the history of his nation makes me ill. Remember that the first reaction to a shot of adrenaline is a slight feeling of nausea in the solar plexus. I got it looking at this photo this morning.
Thou shalt not pass…
Moderates are extremely normal : - )
The term ‘moderate’ is not only meaningless, it is also ridiculous. There are no ‘moderate’ Republicans now, and I have no idea what it means on the Dem side.
McCain was never a maverick. He voted with the goopers 80-some % of the time.
“Moderate” is meaningless because we’ve supplanted “conservatism” with fascism, racist shit-baggery, and general criminality. There’s not really a half way point between common decency, and any of those things. I mean, if you think someone is “moderately racist”, or “moderately criminal”, or “moderately fascist”, well… I’d be forced to ask: Is there such a thing as “moderately pregnant”? Or “moderately dead”?
The disgust I have for these two turncoats is why I refer to them as Boris Manchin and Natasha Sinema.
How about “radical concernists?” Or maybe just “arsonists?”
“Moderate” = “Incoherent”
I equate “moderate” with “wishy washy.”
From Webster’s Dictionary:
feeble or insipid in quality or character; lacking strength or boldness.
“a wishy-washy approach won’t work”
I believe this fits the Manchin & Sinema Show to a T.
McCain was never a maverick. He voted with the goopers 80-some % of the time.
Never forget how the DC Press Corpse swooned over him.
In the case of Manchin and Sinema, I believe that the preferred term is “self-interested douchecanoe.”
The media seems to think “moderate” means halfway between the Dem and Repub positions. But they ignore the fact that the Repubs have been heading off to the right so fast you can see the red shift. (heh; Putin)
Thus, the “middle of the road” is moving, too, in a manner that makes “moderate” meaningless. The media types compensate by asserting that it’s the Dems who are moving to the left and adopting “extremist” positions. Corollary: Only Democrats are becoming “extremists.”
Words matter, and right now, they’re killing us.
News outlets trot out the term
Everyone must be in a tribe.
FOX and RWNJ media make that term at best a code word for oligarch-usefulness.
