I used to think I had a pretty good imagination, but it happens every day: You think this administration could not possibly get more grotesque and ridiculous, and they just wipe their mouths, say “Hold my beer,” and go in and set a new record. Every god-damn day.

Rose was referring to the Trump official saying on Fox Business earlier this week that right now is a “great time to explore America” despite the COVID-19 outbreak and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) warnings against non-essential travel.
“I wish I could get back on the road soon,” Mnuchin said during the interview.
OK, Stevie, saying you wish you could get back on the road. So travel is ok and encouraged for the masses but not for yourself. Got it.
Then we have the encouragement to “open things up, what have you got to lose”. In OKC it could be your life, working as burger flippers 2 shot and a 3rd injured because the dining room was not open at a McD’s.

“My bad I didn’t get we’re hoping 2 emulate Liberia’s economic model but on the real unlike this admin I’m not responsible for 70k+ deaths n’ unlike u I don’t hold a fed gov position of responsibility 2 the American people n’ go on TV tellin them 2 travel the US during a pandemic,” the singer wrote in response to Mnuchin’s corrected tweet.

I have been seeing a lot of this enhanced anger on social media lately. Of course, “conservatives” have long felt free to treat Democrats with contempt, but liberals have been mostly too polite to respond in kind. Lately, liberals have been more than willing to vent their frustrations at people like Mnuchin.
Mnuchin’s comment that we should all travel around America this summer was absurd, in the past Democrats would have said so politely. Not so today. Millions of us are angry at the Republicans and their death cult.
