Never say a Flying V mike stand before. Guess that’s the new thing I learn today.
Mnuchin is corruptly disbursing trillions of dollars of tax payer dollars in the stimulus packages corruptly to his business buddies and the Trump Organization.
Why? WHYYYYYY??? Why would the Secretary of the Treasury get into a Twitter spat with ANYONE…EVER??? Literally the only reason is that he is…well…an asshole.
The Donald era is destroying many many careers, but maybe it’ll revive a few. For instance I have a new respect for Axl Rose.
I think it’s going to be one of those days when the absudity is so deep you just just can’t get serious about anything.
First TPM post even though I’ve been a longtime member.
To be fair to G ‘n’ R, the band has only released one CD since 1993 (Chinese Democracy), and its recent 2-year-plus tour saw them headlining and selling out arenas, and some stadiums, all across the U.S. and the world. However, I think your overall point is spot-on. It’s pretty stupid for a Cabinet Secretary to get into a Twitter “war of words” with the lead singer of a rock band, especially one who is not known for expressing many political opinions on a public basis.
days? I think, week, month, year, might be more apt.
Seriously the whole business has been harshing my mellow lately. You can’t ignore a pandemic so easily.
Mnuchin would probably love just being back in Paradise City … rather than in the Jungle. But, hey, Live and Let Die, right Steve?
Time for some Night Train.
The depravity of trump is just unfathomable.
Seems like it was only yesterday that the death count was only 70,000.
Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin tussled with Axl Rose, the lead vocalist of rock band Guns N’ Roses, over Twitter on Wednesday night.
Brave New World.

My thought too. You’d expect she’d know what the US flag looks like.
But but but he he’s the singer for AC/DC now!
Unfortunately, in reality the country has been in the cardiac arrest since January 2017.
I can’t believe I’m siding with Axl Rose.
Aaaand a million rural hard rock bars now have to take down their G&R posters.
Rose’s tweet is actually pretty well stated. Can we get Slash in on this now?
I didn’t take it as a diss on the band so much as implicitly pointing out that given how their most active period was quite some time ago, it’s all the more reason to just let it go and not further beclown yourself and the administration you belong to in a period of mass death and economic devastation.
