Mitch, Please: Biden Brushes Off McConnell’s Vow To Put ‘100 Percent’ Of His Focus On ‘Stopping’ Admin

President Joe Biden signaled on Wednesday that he wasn’t shaken by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) fervid pledge to fully dedicate himself to obstructing the administration’s agenda.

That “make Democrat one-term President” didn’t work out so well last time for him.
Heh.

I suspect it’s not going to work so well for the Party of Insurrection this time round, either; although, we may have to wait until after the mid-terms to see the price they pay.

There may be a 50:50 Senate, but the overwhelming majority of Americans voted for Biden and his agenda over Trump and those 50 Democratic Senators represent a lot more people than do the 50 Republican Senators.

Just remember that Mitch couldn’t get much of anything passed while he was the Majority Leader with a Republican President. Mitch is a “one trick pony.” His skill is failing to get anything of importance passed. ,*

  • The exception that proves the rule is the tax cut for all his rich friends. In this context it is assumed that his wife is one of his friends although that is only speculation.

Speaking as a Democrat, I really liked the way the President Joe Biden laughed in McConnell’s face and called his bluff.

Can anyone list any one thing that the Republican party has done in the last 4 1/2 years that has had a positive benefit to the MAJORITY of the country?

And the extra $1.28 in my paycheck from the bigly T**** tax cut isn’t one of them.

“We are confronted with severe challenges from the new administration and a narrow majority in the House and a 50-50 Senate to turn American into a socialist country,…"

Effing Socialists and their paranoid fear of collapsing bridges, they’re going to get us all killed.

Republicans don’t do policy. They oppose and then dogpile on to Dem. policy:

Yup, people vote and should be who is represented in governmental decisions. Sage brush and mountain tops do not vote and should not be represented. The apportionment of the U.S. Senate and the gerrymandering of the House of Representatives gives each representation that is undemocratic.

I have to say I am loving Mitch’s complete and utter inability to bait Biden into a fight of any kind. McConnell looks as desperate and powerless as he actually is, for once.

How about 30 years?

I’d like Mitch to be a last-time Senator.

So 60 years total?

Thank you, James Madison.

Also, when Republicans have just 2 of the 3 things Democrats won, Mitch calls it a “mandate.”
