PFFT… when he calls for stricter gun control laws let me know, until then he is just reaping what his party has sown.

Why is it that the only people who ever bust Republican balls are other Republicans?

What I find amazing is Greitens still has the support of his billionaire funders. If they thought for a minute the news would every connect them with the disgraced governor they would drop him like a hot rock. Sadly such is the way of American politics that the press never connects the dots to the people behind abusive hand puppets like Greitens.

We have entered a protracted period of increasing weirdness. As long as GOP pols face no consequences for their transgressive actions and propaganda outlets like Fox News are allowed to promulgate increasingly dangerous and fringe ideas to their core viewers and readers, I see no reason for a ‘return to normalcy’. I think that science fiction and fantasy fiction will serve as much better guides to our near-term future than standard poltical analyses. This doesn’t mean that I am in any way ‘giving up’, but I think we need to be prepared for how strange things are going to become.

Dude, they face electoral consequences all the time for this shit. Greitens might win the GOP nomination, and that makes him a presumptive favorite in the general because Missouri has descended into resentful white nationalist madness. But I’d wager good money that his bullshit manages to lose that seat, just like the late and unlamented Todd “Legitimate Rape” Akin did.

This is a fantasy aimed directly at men (and the women who love them) who are struggling with the dull, boring, adult reality they have found at the other end of the transition from G.I. Joe dolls and violent video games. Disappointment+ boredom = mischief.

Agee with you. But there are ways to deal with BothSiderism. We have to be more aggressive and inventive.

Shit, the threat of the ad itself demonstrates why people need to be armed.

Unless you’re expecting them to rely on the Uvalde PD to protect them?

Just to be clear – was he calling to ask that the RINO hunters get police escorts?

Wouldn’t off-duty cops be the people comprising Greiten’s death squad?

Now Greitens will have to double down and make an attack ad calling upon his supporters to specifically hunt down Caleb Rowden. It’s only natural.

Funny that MAGAts routinely whine and cry about cancel culture and consequences for their hate speech, yet here is a guy who is apparently campaigning from the right on thought police death squads.

Unfortunately, nothing will happen to Greitens because it’s all free speech. Even if someone takes him up on it (a la Sarah Palin on Gabby Giffords), Greitens will be able to claim first amendment and he didn’t pull the trigger.

These kinds of things will continue until someone somewhere gets the notion that maybe the first amendment doesn’t apply to terroristic threats. Kind of the same way 2A doesn’t guarantee a private citizen an AR-15 or equivalent.
