Minnesota AG Expects Criminal Charges Against Police Officers Involved In George Floyd’s Death

Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said on Friday morning that the four Minneapolis police officers who were involved in the death of George Floyd, a black man who died earlier this week after one of the officers dug his knee into Floyd’s neck for several minutes, face criminal charges.

How is trump going to spin this in to an insult to Attorney General Keith Ellison? Can he speak out of both sides of his mouth on this?

How soon do Fat Nixon and LowBarr intercede where they have no authority?

Have they not seen the video? Or maybe they are blind

“Everybody believes that this is a violation of Mr. Floyd."

A violation, why yes it is, he’s dead for suspected forgery and killed by a racist cop.
These people really know how to watch their language. Call it what it is.

Cops have a lot of legal leeway that the average citizen does not.

Charge him with the wrong thing, he may well walk at the end of it.

Trump never speaks out of of his mouth.
It is another part of his obese body.

It might be that Trump will discern in Ellison some sign of low intelligence.

So, the CNN crew gets arrested without evidence of wrongdoing, but cops filmed on video have yet to be picked up.

WTF?

They do not need authority.
They have how many ways to get their message out?
Others will do their dirt.

Mr. Floyd was accused of passing a counterfeit $20 and had a police officer kneel on his neck taking the life out of him.
Donald Trump filed for bankruptcy 6 times, shafted over 3500 contractors and vendors and evaded justice. He openly defends war criminals, potentates, corrupt sheriffs and police officers. His justice department has gone soft on corporate crimes as well as civil rights enforcement and yet he still walks this earth.

There are something about cops committing apparent crimes on video that makes it an unreliable medium. For example, context matters and it not always gets captured in video. For example the supposed victim might have been suspended from high school for smoking pot, or might have been arrested for shoplifting. Those are the types of things that are missed on the video but the cops have to make split second decisions to deal with these hardened career criminals.

There was this case in Texas that a cop was captured by his body camera methodically shooting dogs in what appeared to be target practice just for fun. But as the Police Chief said here was more to the story, the officer had heard them barking, and reasonably feared for his life.

Trump’s already set a precedent for this thing with his criticism of the Latino federal judge hearing a suit against his immigration policy.

In Trump’s eyes, Ellison already has two strikes against him: his ethnicity and his religion.

Cue the release of video from anonymous law enforcement to impugn Floyd’s character in 3-2-1…happens every time

Ellison’s a Democrat. Trump’s already retweeted that the only good Democrat is a dead one. If Ellison doesn’t have a security detail, he might want to ask for one.

Yeah, I get that, but there are only about five or six potential charges. It’s taking an unnecessarily long time to charge these murderous thugs. Meanwhile, in Louisville, it’s been almost four months since Breonna Taylor was killed. This is a tactic they employ every time in hopes that it’ll all blow over without having to charge the cops.

Had Trump, Sessions and Barr not thoroughly gutted and corrupted the DoJ civil rights division, some actions could be expected against the 4 officers, possibly even already taken, but now? I wouldn’t hold your breath.
