Michigan Republicans Replace Officials Who Certify Vote Totals

Like lots of other rank-and-file Republicans, Robert Boyd has his doubts about the integrity of the last election, particularly in his home state of Michigan — and particularly in Detroit’s TCF center, where the city’s votes were counted last year despite a concerted effort from local Republicans to disrupt the counting process.

They have no reason to envision what they are doing. One Party Rule is not the answer. What happens is a gross amount of corruption, demoralizing division and loyalty replacing competence. That cannot persist in a modern society without horrendous effects.

Even to those who are associated with the ruling Party.

The Republicans are doing this for selfish reasons, but the tragedy is that their alienation toward everyone but their own political party blinds them to the interrelations and cooperation needed in a diverse society.

“People saw ballots come in the back door, so, you know, there were cameras in there that people weren’t aware of, that were there,”

Yes, because ballots must only come in through the front door or they’re illegal. These people are so fucking stupid.

This guy should say what he’d do differently in the future to stave off any problems with voting, right? Or is he already primed to not accept anything?

It’s becoming clear that this is where the next elections are going to be fought…like Stalin said, what matters is who counts the votes. Systems are in place so that the vote totals will be known, Democrats will make sure to publicize them, so any moves not to certify an election will show up. The real question is what people will do about it…I’d like to think that the majority of Americans will refuse to allow someone with fewer votes to win based on unsubstantiated accusations about cheating, but we’re going to have a test about that somewhere in the nation real soon.

I would think the Governor could stop this shit.

How stupid are they on a scale of one to Tommy Tuberville?

Which is why I would propose that anyone who serves on the Board of Canvassers, for any county, should have to be tested on their knowledge of the process. And yes I know that this won’t happen, but the MI Dems need to line up the lawyers for the legal challengers now.

Isn’t it ironic that the people that scream the loudest about Communism, Socialism, and any other -ism, have no idea of what they are talking about but also don’t mind stealing their methods.

And the Assclowns are beating those who still play by the “rules” and believe the Constitution will save them from the kidnappers. You DO NOT negotiate with terrorists. You disable them.

The first election these traitors steal for the GQP will mean the end, perhaps for many years, of freedom in our country.

He admits that he hasn’t even read the audited results of the election because “it is so time consuming”. Siloed inside a disinformation bubble that once pierced pops like a balloon. Blind loyalty to party is all this dude knows and that’s why he was appointed of course.

Somewhere between Ron Johnson and the guy at the circus that follows behind the elephants.

I don’t think she can. This is a Republican Party prerogative. I’m sure Governor Whitmer and Michigan Dems are investigating their legal avenues and that they will succeed in undoing this partisan attempt to subvert the counting of the votes.

I take issue with your comparison, the guy that follows behind the elephants is doing a job, and has a purpose, can’t say that about Ron Johnson.

And Republicons know that, in America, what matters is who certifies the vote counts. Gotta give it to 'em. Republicons play to win at any cost knowing that, once you are declared the winner, executive privilege covers all evils.

Then he uses the above my pay grade cop out. No, that’s what you are there for, old man, to certify. The reporters questions should just stop “moving on to the next subject” and just hone in on then how do you know it’s something hanky going on? Ballots are delivered to the counting center all day and night and into the next day, you can’t just pick up 50,000 ballots and wave a wand and say they’ve been counted.

A business will go thru a zilion resume’s and interviews and background checks to hire one staff accountant, but the people counting for our actual Nation, it can be any stupid old man like Boyd, who has no idea what he’s talking about, what he’s looking for, what the laws are, what chains of custody are, and so on.

That stuck in my craw as well.
