Can someone help here. which of today’s military style weapons could be considered as used for hunting. The M14 I did weapons training with in basic, 1969, could be considered for hunting. But today’s weapons turn the deer into sausage before it’s field dressed.

I suppose if you were going after wild hogs/boars, then you might want some extra firepower if the animal is part of a pack with friends. I was treed by a pack of wild boars in Mexico many years ago when doing some wildlife photography. Nasty critters.

Sounds like a play (or plea) for “suicide by cop.”

It is indicative of the social and geographic isolation of the Right that they would go to these ancient ideas when they need an enemy. And that is what they are doing - needing an enemy.

Between Marxism, Socialism, and anti-Semitism, these guys are showing that they are stuck in the 1950s, approximately the time when rural radio was handed over to the Church.

No more tax-free hate groups in government. Burn the churches that occupy every street corner in this country and work exclusively for the rich to game democracy.

Kill the church. Should have ben done when they were justifying slavery with their hand out to the slaver.

One of the best arguments against the AR-15 is that the bullet was designed to kill humans, spinning in midair in order to inflict maximum damage.

All gun nuts think they are engineers somehow. Ask them about the design of the .223 and they have to STFU.

Tiresome troglodytes sold a killing machine on the basis of their subconscious fears. Lets hope they all blow their brains out and maybe thinking people can get to evolving.

That’s a great point.

Remember when the Soviet Union collapsed, and all the pundits were fretting over their lost nemesis? Who oh who would be their adversary without communists around? George HW tried to buck them up with his analysis that the resulting power shifts constituted a new world order.

Republicans could have their pick from a global menu of vital missions. Instead, they turned into paranoid children seeing boogeymen everywhere.

This guy has a shot at prevailing on an insanity defense. His twitter is still up, and it’s nuts.

ETA: His manifesto. Vaccines, the CIA, forming his own country, Andrew Tate stole his girlfriend, a poisoning, court stuff, what sounds like doxxing his enemies, and finally “the coming shootout.”

“Michigan Man Charged With Threatening To Kill All The State’s Jewish Elected Officials.”

Can we call them “Nazis” now?

(Or will corporate news continue calling them “White working-class”?

From the March 1 TPM story:

Attorney General Merrick Garland said on Wednesday that white supremacists are currently the “most dangerous and most lethal” domestic terror group in the United States, an assessment that falls in line with recent reports on the threat that far-right extremists present.

They’re not useful for hunting. But the argument is useful to tie everyone up in knots and derail any discussion of the weapons other than what the letters “AR” stand for and whether they’re used for hunting.

You seem to have missed the part where those churches split from their brethren over the abolition movement that started mostly in the churches. Read more, spew less.

I’m fine with taxing churches, but your suggestion is every bit as noxious and hateful as this cretin’s plans. Pogo was even more observant than he knew.

So basically, ALL churches are bad and are destroying the ethic embodied by Jesus and civil society along with it? The “churches on every street corner in this country” work solely to enrich the rich and to game democracy?

Seems bit overboard, but what do I know?

The corporate news will continue to call them what their oligarchs order them to call them. Meanwhile, every billionaire likely has a fresh-pressed Nazi uniform in his and her closets waiting for the day when they can wear them freely in public…

Which amounts to an indeterminate sentence which can exceed the maximum term of incarceration on a judgment of guilt. I’d be fine with that.
