We must remain united, and we must not allow any candidate to divide or fracture us. The stakes couldn’t be higher.

'Bama just loves them some yankee. But they’ll still gladly accept his campaign spending.
I can’t remember where I watched that interview clip yesterday.
In more important news, the state of New York annouonced it took $2 million out of Donnie’s wallet today when he rolled over like a basset hound that was getting its belly scratched and settled a year and a half old case he screamed he would never settle
David Axlerod on Bloomberg’s statement:
David Axelrod, longtime political commentator and former chief campaign strategist for former President Obama, tweeted Thursday night that billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s possible entrance into the fray of the Democratic primary was “not exactly a vote of confidence” for former Vice President Joe Biden.
“This is a thunderclap,” Axelrod tweeted.
“And not exactly a vote of confidence from leading moderate in durability of @JoeBiden campaign.”
woob woob woob woob woob!

Even if Warren is elected and by some miracle we take the Senate, the amount of hurt will be relative. It will be having to postpone commissioning the 300 ft. Mega Yacht with two helipads, and being forced to make do with the 200 ft. Mega Yacht with just a single helipad anchored off St. Tropez.
Can someone explain how this would affect the Alabama primary? My first thought would be that Bloomberg would hurt Biden more than Warren, but that might be completely wrong. Also, the fact that Bloomberg is just playing spoiler is evident from the fact that he is not starting a national campaign. Any insight would be welcome.
Just what we need.
A freaking US oligarch, bringing his almighty wisdom to the Democratic party, so badly in need of its very own billionaire.
If he does file, he’s filing in Alabama first because that’s the state with the earliest deadline.[*]
Filing in Alabama first would not necessarily mean he’s “playing spoiler” or avoiding a national campaign.
[*] There was an earlier deadline in California but it only applied if you wanted to avoid paying the filing fee, hence my earlier (and lazier) “more or less.” @ANNFFL
I don’t dislike him. I just don’t want him to f*ck things up, and maybe he’s not trying to do that.
But I’m also not too keen on yet another soon-to-be octogenarian running for the democratic nomination.
I’d take President Bloomberg over a second term for Trump any day.
That said, he wouldn’t be my first, second, or third choice.
O/T: Is Gym Jordan really sure that he wants to be more in the spotlight?
Well, if he just wants to waste his money, I guess that’s okay.
Probably about as well received as Howard Schultz.
You’re forgetting that the GOP doesn’t care about any of that stuff anymore.
Not really the way I’d phrase it.
But his day will come. There’s no way that all this was going on and the doc is the only bad guy and everyone else is just hanging around ignoring things.
As a teacher with NYC’s DOE for 20+ years, I can’t say that Bloomberg’s attitude towards unions and the professional civil service is much better than Trump’s. I would never vote to nominate him on those grounds alone.
I’ve been slowly turning into voting on just a few issues–and sensible gun control is the top issue for me. Bloomberg has been right there with his money for local Democratic races to support those interested in sensible gun control measures. Other candidates are not full-throated on this and how many have executive experience in governance? My other issue is that I am completely fed up with poor governance and we need someone sensible in charge. I want someone sensible who is experienced and advocating, by action, chaos. I also make note of France’s warning about Trump and NATO today. And I wouldn’t mind have Mayor Pete as the VP candidate.
