That’s a good point. To them, he’s the alpha because he controls their base.

Welp, trump does need another ambassador in Ukraine now that Wm Taylor was recalled on Tuesday ahead of a Pompeo visit.
Yep, trump is still neck deep in this scandal. He is still hoping for something on Biden will turn up. Maybe Meadows wants a nice calm sojourn in foreign lands.

Don’t have anything to contribute? Or aren’t getting as many “contributions”? Better grift on the outside, especially when the chief grifter and his foreign patrons are paying your fee.

One has to do something, after all, once your ability to harm the citizenry is curbed.

He is one of my favorites.

He died only a few years after writing that poem – one of several that can be read just literally.

I won’t say he invented sarcasm and biting irony but …

Looks like my take is different than everyone else’s. Let me put it this way: if I was Mike Pence, I’d be thinking of excuses to withdraw from the 2020 ticket. He’s gonna need one sooner or later.

Excellent. I was going to suggest that he could “serve the American people” by finding a nice job bagging groceries, or perhaps as a Walmart greeter.

It’s amazing to me how millions of otherwise reasonably normal humans will let a mentally ill demagogue do their thinking for them.

Meadows is waiting for direction from Putin. Trump is turning out to be a handful.

Surprised he lasted this long after his testimony…

‘.because the President has accomplished so much’…This always galls me. WTF has he ‘accomplished’? Screwing people over? Selling us out to foreign powers? Continuing on with the legacy of Obama that people like Meadows tried so hard to ‘sequester’ and now are taking credit for?

He wasn’t approved by the Senate for the post anyway so he had at best 240 days to serve as a temp. According to the law.

In order to get a pension a member of the House must serve 5 years and reach the age of 62. Or 20 years and be 50 or more years old. Meadows will need his job working for Trump just until the end of Trumps first term. Then he gets his lifelong bennies. Ted Yoho just quit after 6 years and he’s 62. So he gets bennies for life. If you give these folks a look you’ll see what this is all about. A job in the US House is a cushy job involving about 150 working days a year, a 174K starting salary and a free staff that does most of your work. Unlimited travel, franking privileges and housing. Per diems too that include booze. Then early retirement with a lifelong check from Uncle Sugar. Healthcare too. And use of Congressional privileges. The list goes on. The best part: You don’t really have to do shit and most don’t.

Oh, they chased the tyrannical Obamaists out of town and worked themselves out of a job. No more tyranny any more yay! Time to ride off like the Lone Ranger. That, and the redistricting. The redistricting was also a factor. : (
