White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows lashed out at FBI Director Christopher Wray’s testimony to Congress in which the FBI leader rejected President Donald Trump’s bogus conspiracy theory that mail-in voting can and will lead to election fraud that would rig the election against him.
I guess by now all Republicans have decided that they are not going they are not going to win, and that stealing the election is the only way forward, and Trump has help them shed any remaining scruples.
When interviewed, the Republican/conservative playbook for all issues is to 1. Defect, 2. Attack the person who raises the issue, and 3. Say, “What about the other side?”.
Evidence, mother-fucker! Surely a ‘very stable genius’ knows not to shoot off his mouth until he has evidence about something. Why don’t you ask your boss about that?
To hear Trumpco tell it no one in all of government knows what the hell they’re talking about, except Donald Trump. Everyone is wrong, about everything. Yet a great many of these people are Trump hires. And we’re supposed to reelect Trump because of his good judgment and because of the team he’s assembled around him to govern.
Plus, every time he fires someone he says they are ‘big time losers that he couldn’t get rid of fast enough!’. Of course, there is the fact that he is the one who hired them…
Isn’t it fascinating (and frightening) how much the Trumpists LIVE IN THE PAST.
2016 to be specific. They just can’t seem to grasp the fact that FOUR YEARS have passed by, and that Hillary Clinton is NOT RUNNING FOR OFFICE.
Neither is Barack Obama for that matter.
It’s like the small children, who “had fun” and are desperate to relive that experience over and over again instead of dealing with reality.
Just like the junkies they are, they MUST HAVE THAT HIT and will do anything to get it.
Who with any self-respect would work for this administration? There is no bottom to the pettiness and churlishness that demeans the office. How embarrassing for all of America.
Wray has established himself as credible at the FBI, exceeding my expectations. Meadows, fourth chief of staff in as many years has proven himself to be just whom we all thought he’d be. Wonder what his political future will be after January 2020. (Not that I care).
Somewhere in Germany in late 1932, an official in the German government bureaucracy testified that he saw no evidence of a Jewish plot to undermine Germany…
With all due respect to Director Wray, he is not an expert on fraud and he should defer to President Trump who knows more about fraud than all the FBI agents combined.
If like me you pretty much learned about the world as a child from mid-century Warner Brothers cartoons, you have a deeply rooted belief that really stupid people talk a certain way. Only some of them actually do—Gohmert comes to mind—but I’d say actually Meadows is about a third of the way there voice-wise. There’s something in the delivery of a rational, knowledgeable, insightful person that isn’t there for a credulous dope like Meadows.
