It wasn’t all “out of sight, out of mind”, but because it was an election year the tonnage of BS that was thrown at us daily made it hard to keep a breaking news story on Monday a thing on Tuesday. Prior to the election that Monday breaking news story could have been hashed and rehashed through Thursday.
