I have seen those flags and signs. I have an almost automatic reaction of giving them the middle finger or saying fuck you. And I am a professional woman in my early 60s. Hahahaha!

Well thatās the trick, isnāt it? His whole raison dāetre - is to protect those who DO have him by the short hairs. Moscow Mitch is seriously compromised - and tRump is his shield against exposure. If he can keep tRump standing - he can hide his actions.
Someone, somewhere - COULD blow the whistle on Moscow Mitch. I think only fear of Polonium tea keeps them in line.

McConnell has earned the reluctant respect of his fellow Senate Republicans through his truly savvy stewardship of national GOP Senate campaign strategy (I believe he was head of the NRSC for a significant period), and his expertise distorting the business of the Senate to create politically advantageous stunts for his members.
They loathe and fear him, which he has learned to enjoy, and they definitely respect him. And he has proven that their electoral interests are legitimately aligned with his own, namely that he wants to be Senate Majority Leader forever.
I think Senate Republicans stick to McConnell because heās a powerful, devious monster, but heās their monster.
