McConnell: ‘I Was Not Given An Explanation’ For Ukraine Aid Delay

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said on Tuesday that the Trump administration didn’t tell him why it had delayed almost $400 million in aid for Ukraine in July, about a week before President Donald Trump reportedly tried to get the Ukrainian government to investigate 2020 rival Joe Biden.

Mitch is dangling a foot off the Trump Train platform. Seeing how the air feels through his rotten, corrupt toes.

It’s hard to know what’s happening when you have your fingers in your ears while repeating, “I know nothing, I see nothing” eh, Mitch?

It’s a smart play by McConnell. By stating he was not given a reason he doesn’t run the risk of having whatever reason was given (and I’m sure there was on) being a lie. Of course he now has to figure out how to shield his vulnerable 2020 senators (again) from a vote from hell, but one day at a time I suppose.

I hope all the judges were worth it, Mitch.

Plausible deniability, eh MM?

Moscow Mitch’s reptilian DNA is the source of his survival instincts. Pence and Trump’s other toadies are too stupid to recognize the necessity of an escape hatch when it comes to all things Trump, lol.

Mitch being reminded he’s not important to Trump

I repost Josh Dawsey’s tweet from this morning.

Which republican senators challenged? Hmmmm? Certainly the little ol’ Majority Leader would have been included and have been given the reason.

McConnell told reporters that he has “no idea what precipitated the delay.”

He should not feel to bad about that, after all Trump is still unsure himself on why he delayed, he has already came up with four different explanations: Inter-agency delays, corruption in Ukraine, not using the money in a way it benefits the US, Europeans not ponying up.

And so he just shrugged & said “yeah, whatever”.

I was not given an explanation,” the Republican leader said after a journalist asked if the Trump administration had given him a reason for withholding the aid. “Fortunately, it finally happened, and I’m glad about that.”

Here’s Moscow Mitch, trying to save his seat and the Senate for Republicans. Here’s hoping someone has evidence of him actually knowing the story and going along with it…even if he didn’t he should have known, which really should be the basis for the campaign against him next year. Without Moscow Mitch, all this Trump nonsense doesn’t happen, all the Republican cheating doesn’t happen, Garland is on the SC, and judicial and other appointments weren’t held up. Mitch needs to go, he’s corrupted the political system enough.

Can’t he just refuse to bring it to the floor for a vote?

Mitch is covering his ass.

Et tu, Brute? The unkindest cut of all.

@davidn I see I’m not the only one on the same train of thought. It’s all so transparent, isn’t it?

"I have no knowledge of any of this, and let me be perfectly clear – I am more than willing to support the President, or support the impeachment of the President, fully depending on which way is most advantageous to me and my constituents, both inside Kentucky and the Eastern Bloc. Thank you I have no further comment.
