Note: he said nothing about resignation.

He also limited himself to the 67-vote case.

But of course Moscow Mitch is going to say stuff like this. It’s his job to lie for his fellow felons.

I have to wonder why he’d feel it necessary to say that to a reporter.

I wish the reporter had been alert enough and enough of a wise-ass to ask Mitch if that included a situation in which Trump came out of the White House with an AR-15 and gunned down a few dozen tourists.

Always the refuge of the people who cause the anger-- It’s not my actions that are the problem, it’s you getting mad about it.

Yes, just like the passive “mistakes were made,” which is despicable. Of course Trump wouldn’t even ever go that far.

“Mirror, mirror on the wall…”

STFU, Mitch, and do penance for what you did to Merrick Garland.

Hell, McConnell is lacking in imagining that he should uphold his oath to the U.S. Constitution!

Democracy tells us what to do in such a situation.

If you show him a riot on his doorstep, he will imagine a scenario in which removing Trump is a great idea.

A riot is the voice of the unheard.

Agree. McConnell is creating a breadcrumb trail to point to and say that he never was on the side of impeachment for when the day comes that he is already fully imagining, no matter what he says.

Nothing is happening because House Democrats seized with Trump derangement syndrome are consumed with this argument with the President,” McConnell said.

“I can’t imagine a scenario under which President Trump would be removed from office with 67 votes in the Senate,” McConnell said

WHAT?!? The fix is already in?!? sigh…

Gotta give Moscow Mitch credit for having Trumpian levels of shamelessness.

McConnell spoke during an appearance in Louisville to receive this year’s “Distinguished Rural Kentuckian” award from the Kentucky Electric Cooperatives.

So did Elaine pay for this, or Turtles campaign? And is Louisville considered rural now?

Fine, Mitch. Get everyone’s vote on record before the next election. Then let the people decide.

I’m sorry if you were offended

So in other words, multiple counts of proven impeachable offenses and crimes mean absolutely nothing to the Senate. He knows this in advance. Damn the evidence.

Though reporters have to report on the relevant story, he has done this before.
