Hopefully I’m just paranoid but I think it’s likely all the games TFG is playing with the stolen documents is covering up that he made copies long ago and has hidden them in various locations. It’d be so simple to put them on a disc or a thumbdrive and make multiple copies.

Keep them on edge for a while longer and the confession is complete.

Go straight to jail, do not pass GO, do not collect $200…

In six years, no one will be able to hire anyone that was educated in FL.

It’s like the meme I saw the other day:

Memes are generally an exaggeration of something that has a grain of truth. Your example above shows there’s more than a grain of truth involved here.

I think the Rosenbergs can provide a useful precedent about how the courts should apply sentencing in this current Espionage Act violation.

There’s a passage in that filing from last night where they suggest it’s all cool because the documents were in what they said was a secure location. It’s explicitly false because the documents are supposed to be in the custody of NARA and nowhere else. I just find it remarkable to see what’s essentially a bullshit TV argument in a setting where that doesn’t fly. There’s simply no gray area to operate in here and they really do have nothing.

The retort from the Rights on this would be, but the Rosenbergs weren’t POTUS’s.

And that TFG was POTUS should have nothing to do with this discussion. Period. Because he wasn’t when the documents left the building and he isn’t now. With any luck and a good voter turnout, he never will again.

I saw on TV earlier this morning only 22% of Americans believe TFG did nothing wrong by stealing the documents.
