Mar-A-Lago Scandal Is Back To Court Today

Today will be interesting as we hear Trump’s lawyers’ arguments (I expect everything to be thrown at the wall/judge so I hope she’s appropriated prepared to be in the splash zone) and responses in front of the judge. Here is another link to a recent overview.

While I hope we can push forward for resolution in an efficient manner, I expect much delay. While we cannot politicize such investigations, it would be far worse for this country to allow acts to go unchallenged because there is no accepted precedent for this situation. Keep the pressure on to find the truth, and let’s hope we can cut through any obfuscation by Republicans.

I noticed it yesterday and it’s still in the air …

I love the smell of inevitability in the morning.

That and good coffee.

Sure, but did he have the expertise to do it without one or more co-conspirators? (ed.)
At least in the common understanding, Donnie’s computer literacy was so 1968.

Setting aside the fact that FatAss has hired totally incompetent legal help, I can also well imagine that he threw a major toddler temper tantrum until they put crap like that in the filing. Easier to make him happy even when you look like an ass doing so.

Trump and his acolytes…the Keystone cops on steroids…you could not reasonably imagine such ineptitude…

That’s an erosion of his base by quite a bit. He’s usually got the support in the low 30’s.

Reading last night’s Trump filing, the first thing that struck me is that the new real lawyer has not signed, and may not even have been added to the case (a procedural step). He may well not appear at today’s hearing.

I doubt he’d have the patience to perform such a menial task if he had the capacity.

Look at it this way:

  1. It’s Republicans who are cock-a-hoop over applying the death penalty in any and all circumstances (see: Greg Abbott).

  2. There’s nothing in the Constitution that prevents a convicted felon from running for president – albeit it’s a bit difficult to campaign from a prison cell.

  3. The ultimate sanction would render the whole question of a future campaign moot.

I’m pretty sure that the three-letter agencies assume all documents found at MAL are compromised beyond salvage and they are now focused on worst case scenarios in all cases and making contingency plans.

A traitor in the White House, unrestrained for years, and the ultimate betrayal. I know he’ll end up getting off with a relative slap on the wrist and it infuriates me beyond all comprehension.

Certainly: when he finished looking for the punch cards next to the laptop, his work was done.

I’d guess the selective presentation of content wasn’t part of today’s lesson.

There’s a high probability that he’s making sure his retainer check has cleared the bank before lifting a finger.

Also might have made some conditions for agreeing to take him on, e.g. “you keep your mouth shut and sit on your fat little fingers for the next week or I won’t sign”…
